Indeed, a formula perfectly suited to sporty beginners (or not), the half-day "Adventure" canyoning allows you to both improve your level and get to know one of the most beautiful canyons of the Pyrénées-Orientales such as the Soussouéou canyon or even the canyon of the Valentin gorges. Perfectly located just 1 hour from the Basque country and 40 minutes from Pau, these canyons will make your task more difficult with their beauty and the attractiveness of their pathways. Thus, and to decide between them, the choice between the two will be made according to the weather conditions, the authorizations, the state of the canyon and possibly your desires.
Given that these circumstances are not foreseen, the choice cannot be made at the time of booking. In case you have already hiked one (or both) of the two canyons, let us know in advance. We are operational throughout the summer period (from June to August), but the feasibility of the activity will still depend on the canyon:
- The lower Valentin Canyon is only operational in August and September.
After a welcome and a briefing on the activity, each group will head to the starting point of each respective canyon to kick off the half-day.
The program:
- An approach and return walk (2 hours max)
- You will have to progress in the bed of the river, carry a backpack with common equipment and swim, which requires a fairly good level and comfort.
- Jumps estimated from 0 to 8 meters (optional).
- Rappelling descents reaching 30 meters.
This activity lasts from 2.5 to 3 hours, during which you will put all your senses to the test and discover both the Pyrenees and canyoning from a totally different angle!
What does the activity include
- Personalized supervision by state-certified instructors
- Insurance
- Loan of all equipment and materials: Neoprene wetsuit and socks, harness, helmet as well as the necessary collective equipment.
When your activity starts and finishes
- This canyoning activity starts at 1:30 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m.
- After making the online reservation, please contact your instructor at least 24 hours in advance to confirm availability, set a time and meeting point and confirm the weather conditions.
