The cliffs of Sliabh Liag in County Donegal are one of the wonders of Ireland. Rising 600 metres, or almost 2,000 feet, out of the Atlantic Ocean, they are some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe and a sight to behold.
Kids love gawping at this natural marvel from the decks or indoor areas of our tour boat. It’s a modern, sea-faring vessel with capacity for 96 people, toilets and refreshments available on board. We also have tour guides on every sailing who’ll captivate passengers with their knowledge of the area.

The two-hour cruise starts in Killybegs Harbour. The route to Sliabh Liag takes us along a beautiful stretch of coastline that’s home to bird and animal species. We almost always see seabirds and seals and regularly manage to spot dolphins. Whales and sharks are less common but a real treat for all!

Sailing from Killybegs Harbour, we visit one of the most stunning sights on the whole island of Ireland. It’s better to think of Sliabh Liag (also known as Slieve League) not as cliffs, but as a mountain that’s been eroded in half by the Atlantic Ocean, leaving a dramatic landscape of sheer rock, crashing waves and sea stacks.
The cruise lasts two hours and takes in panoramic views of the coastline between Killybegs and Sliabh Liag while offering the chance to observe local marine wildlife. There are mammals in the area, including dolphins, seals and porpoises and numerous species of seabirds that live here or visit at certain times of year.
Our boat is comfortable and fully equipped with indoor and outdoor viewing areas, toilets and a bar. It can carry almost 100 people. This is the price for adults over 18 years old. There’s no upper age limit - in fact, those of retirement age receive a free drink - and the boat is accessible for wheelchair users.
There’s a tour guide on board who’ll point out all the points of interest along the way and keep everyone interested with the stories behind what you’re seeing.
