A Nod to Game of Thrones with Adventure Rooms Madrid

During the first half of this year, the first Escape Room based on Game of Thrones arrived in Madrid. Capitalising on the premiere of the eighth season, Adventure Rooms Madrid has created this game inspired by the acclaimed series.
Who hasn’t heard of Game of Thrones? The final season of the most award-winning series in television history aired in the early hours of 14–15 April. The AdventureRooms centre seized the launch to create their own game, "Game of Dragons", as a tribute to the series’ lore—a treat fans will undoubtedly relish.




Set in the world of the series, this game becomes the fourth offering in Madrid, joining "The Original", "The Crypt of the Spirits", and "Black Queen". In "Game of Dragons", you’ll play as one of the last survivors of House Phoenix, with a mission to save the kingdom by reawakening the dragons before the White Walkers and winter arrive.



Long ago, an ancient maester hid a scroll in the deepest corner of a castle, containing the elements needed to perform this ritual. But that’s not all—to reach it, you’ll need to infiltrate the ranks of the last resisting guard, gaining access to the castle to complete your mission and save the world from the endless, eternal winter.





"Finding motivation for his students"—that’s what led a physics teacher (Gabriel Palacios) to create and develop this game for his pupils back in 2012 in Bern, Switzerland. Its success was so overwhelming that they soon founded a company, expanding to countless countries; by early 2016, they had rooms in 17 nations, including the USA, Canada, Germany, Russia, Australia, and Qatar.
In Madrid, they’re located near Plaza de España (Cuesta de San Vicente, 18), currently offering four distinct games. The first, "The Original", is so named because it’s the same game Gabriel launched in Switzerland in 2012. Here, you’ll undergo an experiment by Dr. Green, who monitors your movements for 60 minutes to test his theories about the human mind. In another game, "The Crypt of the Spirits", you’ll unravel the mystery behind Lord Green’s (the doctor’s brother) death under strange circumstances.




The third current game, "Black Queen", challenges you to solve the enigma of Marie, a beautiful woman who has left a trail of death across the globe. The first two games also offer a "duel mode" for large groups. With the arrival of "Game of Dragons", Madrid now boasts four immersive experiences for the most adventurous clients.
