Enjoying a day off is what we all want when our weekdays are so busy we barely have time for ourselves. But when Sunday comes or any day when work doesn't occupy our minds, the best thing to do is immerse ourselves in nature and try adventure sports.
You might think that extreme sports require top physical condition and an athletic mindset, but this isn't always the case. Some activities simply require enthusiasm for a good day out and the courage to try something different. We suggest you try via ferrata: a route that can be either vertical or horizontal along rock faces or massifs, featuring handrails, grips, suspension bridges, zip lines, chains...

If you're not a regular climber, this sport remains accessible to you. There's a steel cable running along the entire route for your safety, so you needn't worry, along with a harness and special carabiners that will secure you in case of a fall.
A via ferrata excursion can deliver all the thrills you're seeking without requiring prior experience - a guide will explain how to use the equipment and give you confidence to complete the route comfortably. For this multi-adventure sport, you should be somewhat comfortable with heights or at least not suffer from vertigo!

Once you've chosen your via ferrata route and checked the weather forecast (to avoid setbacks), you'll need proper equipment: helmet, harness, gloves, appropriate footwear, descender and rope for abseiling, energy absorber (to cushion any falls). Don't worry if you lack specialised gear as most companies will provide it.
Remember to choose a route matching your skill level - as beginners, we shouldn't push beyond our capabilities, no matter how stunning the scenery. It's also advisable to go with experienced companions for added safety.

Avoid rushing during your ascent, as bottlenecks often occur from too many climbers, fatigue, etc. Also, remember the via ferrata isn't over when you reach the top - you still need to descend. During easier sections, maintain a steady pace to conserve energy for more challenging stretches ahead. Oh! And don't forget to admire the breathtaking landscapes unfolding as you climb - they're truly worth it.
Whenever you get the chance, don't miss a via ferrata excursion - it's tremendous fun and will make your weekend adventures completely different. What are you waiting for? Experience a real via ferrata adventure!
