If you're looking for an active tourism activity and don't know what to do, we recommend choosing one that you can also enjoy with the family. What do we suggest? A day out at an aquarium. Fancy it?

Aquariums have the advantage of being suitable for all ages and appealing to everyone. It's a way to connect with nature in some way, since our busy lifestyles don't always allow us to travel as much as we'd like—and let's be honest, without centres like these, we'd never get to experience some animal species "first-hand".

Which aquariums can I visit in Spain?

Our country is home to various zoo aquariums, so you can visit any of them and discover a whole new world. In total, nearly 20 centres spread across Asturias, the Basque Country, Galicia, the Valencian Community, Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, Aragon, and Andalusia.

Below, we’ll tell you about some of them, but for more information on your nearest aquarium, be sure to check Yumping’s business directory.

Aquariums in Málaga

  • Aula del Mar. It’s worth highlighting that this aquarium’s main focus is environmental education—a way to learn about and later interpret the world around us. Proof of their commitment to nature is that they operate as a species recovery centre (C.R.E.M.A.) and even have their own marine hospital and a marine research centre dedicated to breeding seahorses and gobies.
If marine life interests you and you want to explore Málaga, visiting this centre is a great opportunity. But you can also find other zoos with marine life and aquariums that will make your trip to Málaga a full-blown adventure.
