When summer arrives, what we all have in mind is planning our holidays and especially travelling to places where we can disconnect from our hectic lives. Without a doubt, practising adventure sports at our destination is the perfect excuse to escape with even more enthusiasm.

Although the world is vast with countless places to discover, we're offering you the opportunity to visit the Alps. Explore one of the most important mountain ranges in Central Europe and marvel at dreamlike landscapes while practising via ferrata

You will have an incredible holiday

You can find three different sectors, but it will be up to you to choose your ideal destination:

  • Western Alps. They stretch from the Mediterranean Sea to Valais in Switzerland. One of the most significant points is Mont Blanc, visited by thousands of tourists each year. Don't miss the chance to do via ferratas here - you'll see life from a completely new perspective.
  • Central Alps. In this case, Valais is the starting point and the Graubünden region (also in Switzerland) marks the end of this chain. Take a via ferrata course before your journey begins, and you'll find these mountains even more fascinating.
  • Eastern Alps. Explore the remainder of the mountain range and discover two of its most important formations: the Tyrol on one side and the Dolomites on the other - essential destinations for anyone unafraid of unforgettable experiences amidst spectacular scenery.

The best approach is to gather the friends or family members you want to share this experience with - from there, planning your trip will be a piece of cake. Keep in mind that if you're not going with a via ferrata company, you'll need your own equipment: carabiners, ropes, helmet, rucksack, harness, gloves, comfortable footwear... Don't forget sun protection or warm clothing depending on the season, as mountain weather can be unpredictable.

 Via ferrata in the Alps

Once you've reached your specific destination and chosen your accommodation, it's time to begin your adventure. Decide on your chosen route and get started - there's much to explore and countless wonders to behold.

If you're new to the world of via ferratas, you should know they're sporting itineraries equipped with progression and safety elements made from various materials like chains, pitons, anchors... However, we strongly recommend going with an experienced practitioner of this sport, as the terrain is quite steep and lacking proper skill in this area could be risky.

The Alps conceal magnificent landscapes worth exploring - even more so when experienced through adventure sports like via ferrata.
