Taking a bungee jump is a unique experience you can't miss: there's no other sensation like it. But before you jump, there are some things you should know - basic tips to ensure the activity goes smoothly.

Basic tips before bungee jumping
- Health. It's crucial that before jumping, you're certain you're in perfect condition, both physically and mentally. This rules out anyone with heart conditions or nervous disorders.
- Company. Choose a company you trust that meets all necessary requirements to conduct the activity: certified equipment in good condition, accident and liability insurance, etc. Additionally, a professional instructor must be present at all times to oversee safety and explain how to perform the jump.
- Equipment. The essential equipment is quite simple: ropes (dynamic or static depending on the jump type), harness, carabiners, and blockers; a helmet may also be used. Wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
- Bridge. For a bridge to be suitable for bungee jumping, its height must be more than double its width. Test it beforehand by dropping a heavy object from the bridge to check if the activity can be performed safely.

- Precautions. Check all ropes before jumping - preferably, more than one person should verify this. Additionally, use two ropes instead of one for extra safety. These should be at least 5 metres shorter than the bridge's height.
- Jump. To jump, it's recommended to leap from the railing. You can jump forwards (secured at the feet) or backwards (secured at the waist).
- Empty pockets. Don't carry anything in your pockets or any items that could fall, as you'll lose them.
- No pushing. If someone in the group hesitates to jump, don't push them. Let them take their time, as you could cause injury or trauma.
