As skiing is a seasonal sport, its true enthusiasts own all the necessary gear. However, if this is one of your first times skiing or you’ve travelled far to explore slopes abroad, it’s best to rely on a ski school.
Trust a ski school
They will provide you with all the ski equipment you need. Ski schools usually have rental shops for gear. Everyone knows that before practising a sport, you must equip yourself with the best materials. Taking the right precautions ensures your adventure in any activity will be unmatched.
Choose skis based on your skiing profile
If you’re going skiing, you should know there are small tricks to make your time at the ski resort ideal; one of them is choosing the best skis:
- Beginner level: It’s best to use skis adapted for learning, so they should be wider. The best skis for this level are Pin Tail or Easy Carving, as both facilitate learning.
- Intermediate level: If you’ve skied before, now is the time to refine your skills—how? Start by choosing the right skis for slightly faster movement than beginner level. Depending on your desired speed or turning radius, opt for Performance Carving.
- Advanced level: It’s time to become a great skier, so you’ll need more technical skis, depending on whether you’ll ski at medium speed or faster. Choose between All-Terrain, Radical or Extreme Carving, or All-Round Carving.
- Competition level: At this stage, where training is constant, all your time is dedicated to preparing for races. Don’t waste time with skis that don’t meet your demands; choose: Giant Slalom or Slalom models.
You can also find other types of skis depending on the discipline you want to practise, age (children or adults), gender (men or women)... as each has specific needs.
Always remember to consult an expert first, who will advise you on these and more details at companies located in ski resorts.
