We won’t be the ones to encourage you to break the rules. In other things, maybe... but never during this global pandemic. However, there’s a difference between disobeying a Covid-19 law and not making plans that remind us we’re more alive than ever.
Unfortunately for you, daydreamer, in this 2020, you’ve got to be more realistic than ever. You can’t meet with too many people, schedules are limited, and capacities are restricted—but did you know there are hundreds of activities that comply with the rules and help us stop thinking (even for a little while) about this nightmare haunting us?
Across our country, there are brilliant plans you can do alone or with a few others (don’t overdo it) during the quarantine imposed by the Covid virus (from now on, I’ll drop the "-19", as we’re already approaching "-21"). If you’ve run out of ideas or, worse, you’re one of those pessimists who think there’s nothing to do but play board games at home, we propose at least 5 plans you can actually do during lockdown. There are more, but let’s start with the ones we know will excite you.

At this point, very few haven’t had to "celebrate" their birthday during the pandemic. For now, big gatherings are off the table, but that doesn’t mean someone shouldn’t have a special day. Currently, the maximum allowed group size is 6—perfect for a home escape room!
If the idea of being in a room with others doesn’t appeal, you can always opt to hire an escape room for your own home. The company sets everything up so you can rack your brains for an hour and emerge victorious. Fun, themed to your taste, and without leaving home. A perfect "pandemic birthday"!

2. A mushroom foraging route

When Covid first loomed, no one thought it would last until autumn. Yet here we are, leaves falling, and with them, plans you shouldn’t pass up to get out of the house. The countryside is stunning this time of year, so bundle up in comfy clothes, don’t forget your mask, and borrow a wicker basket—you’re off mushroom foraging.
The fungi world captivates more people than you’d think, so don’t underestimate a guided stroll with a mycology expert. Enjoy a nature escape, learn all about mushrooms, and fill your basket. Later, you can cook them up and impress your loved ones with your culinary skills. They’ll be amazed when they find out you foraged what they’re eating!

3. A paragliding flight

Sofa + book/film/series/PlayStation is great—we’re not arguing—but now more than ever, we’re craving new experiences we wouldn’t have considered months ago. Why not start with a tandem paragliding flight? Thrilling, fun, outdoors, reasonably priced, no crowds... It’s perfect for quarantine!
A tandem flight isn’t an issue: you and the pilot will wear masks at all times (even mid-air), plus all safety gear provided by the company. Soaring over your chosen area (or as far as you’re allowed to travel) will remind you that post-Covid, there’s a universe of adventures waiting.

4. An off-road quad bike route

Another brilliant way to avoid crowds (much to your dismay—or not) and escape your four walls is a quad bike route. These all-terrain vehicles, built for fun, are mostly two-seaters, so you might go out with two other quads max—and that’s allowed! Rally your adventure buddies; you’ve got next weekend’s quarantine plan sorted.
Rest assured, helmets will be disinfected, and companies take Covid regulations seriously (as they should). So leave your "paranoid" side at home (not your cautious one) and enjoy an off-road quad bike ride, splashing through puddles and living the adventure properly.

5. A snowmobile excursion

If cold doesn’t deter you, a snowmobile route is another fantastic way to explore new places and—crucially—do something different during the pandemic. These routes are currently limited to small groups (as per local laws when you book), and since they’re two-seaters, you can share the ride or go solo.
If you love winter sports, you’ll relish the icy landscape, and it’s a brilliant experience whether with mates or your partner—far less cheesy and way more fun. You’ll even find night-time snowmobile routes! Just wrap up by midnight...

As we said earlier, there are hundreds of plans. This virus may have stolen much, but it can’t kill the adventurer in us—even if your "inner Indiana" is buried deep. Just check the current measures, or if you’re feeling bold, relax: the activity provider will explain any restrictions. Enjoy responsibly. Covid will pass, but meanwhile, keep the excitement alive.
