On foot, on horseback, by bicycle... if you thought you knew all the ways to complete the Camino de Santiago, you couldn't be more mistaken.

An adventure shared on TikTok
While those remain the most conventional methods, some pilgrims have ventured to complete the Camino through less conventional means - by unicycle, wheelchair, running, motorbike, or skateboard... This last option is what Evan González chose, becoming the first woman to complete the Camino on an electric skateboard.
The young adventurer undertook this thrilling challenge to push her limits and strengthen her body. Evan documented this 700-kilometre, 12-day journey across social media, recording daily TikTok videos sharing the obstacles and literal "bumps in the road" she encountered along the way.

Despite how easy it might appear, the TikToker has told followers about the challenges of spending over 10 hours on a skateboard, maintaining balance while "terrain surfing" for extended periods. Moreover, the Camino de Santiago isn't a smooth path - its numerous dirt trails, ascents and descents presented additional hurdles for this challenge.
But it wasn't all hardship; she also shared footage of spectacular northern Spanish landscapes while enjoying the freedom granted by her trusty skateboard.
