Don't miss out on a hugely fun opportunity to enjoy a different kind of day out with your friends. Whether for a birthday, a stag do, or even a work outing, hiring a beer bike in your city could be a brilliant idea—original, without a doubt.

This activity has been popular since the '90s in the Netherlands. The concept of this vehicle was invented by a man named Henk in Zwier van Laar, who wanted to offer it as a mobile bar for advertising different businesses. It became a huge success and from there, it spread and took on other uses.

Beer Bikes in Spain

Little by little, it's being introduced in our country, and now you can spot these unique bicycles in several Spanish provinces like Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, Castellón, Toledo...

What does hiring a beer bike involve?

You might think that cycling and drinking alcohol at the same time can't be very safe, right? Well, since that’s already been considered, the company provides a driver who will steer the group and, as expected, isn’t allowed a single drop of beer.

This vehicle can hold between 15 and 20 people and is reserved for private group bookings, making it ideal for any event. Some even include a microphone, so both the guide and participants can liven up the group and sing along to the built-in music... some even have karaoke!

 People pedaling a bike

Like any other vehicle, it has a lighting and indicator system, along with seats that mimic a bicycle saddle and pedals, with space at the back for those who don’t want to pedal.  It doesn’t run on an engine but on a battery, which charges through the pedalling done by the participants.

Here’s a video so you can see how it works with your own eyes!
