I’m always keen to try every sport I can, travel to new places, and experience all kinds of adventures that make me feel alive.
I’m going to share a paratriking flight I took—feel free to leave your comments in this section.

The paratriking flight was mind-blowing. It’s one of the few aerial activities you can do while flying over a city centre, and honestly, seeing Córdoba’s mosque from the air was magnificent.
Besides being an affordable activity, another advantage of doing it in Córdoba is that the take-off and landing area is very close to the city centre. I walked there from the centre, as I was hitchhiking across Spain and didn’t have my own vehicle handy.

The pilot was brilliant—when I mentioned I was hitchhiking, he even offered to give me a lift in his van.
The sensation is unreal. It’s one of my favourite things I’ve ever done in the air—I enjoyed it even more than microlighting and paragliding, and almost as much as gyrocopter flying. It’s incredible because it combines paragliding with the speed and aerobatics of a microlight, thanks to the motor and propeller on your back.

Since I needed the whole day free to arrange transport to Galicia, he kindly offered to schedule the flight earlier, at 8 AM. That way, I had the rest of the day to continue my journey.
The instructor I flew with, Rafael from Aventuras Límite, told me he’s Spain’s only certified paratrike instructor—something you can clearly see from his professionalism.
We took off from a flat area near the city’s football stadium, by the Guadalquivir River. It was a large dirt clearing. We picked up speed quickly, and within seconds, we were airborne.

To reach the city centre, we flew very close over the motorway, with cars just metres below. In no time, we were above the centre, and he pointed out the most interesting landmarks. Then he took me to the bullring to show me around, and later we flew to the outskirts, over a deep lake where they do scuba diving.
To finish, he did some low-altitude passes along the Guadalquivir—it felt like we were about to skim the water—before climbing sharply up a mountainside and landing.

One fun fact he shared (which many specialists in this field will relate to) is that he sometimes packs his paratrike into a van and can fly over any city he’s visiting. In fact, flying from Córdoba to Mérida is cheaper for him. How cool is that?
Here’s a video of my experience:
