Rutas Vivas 4x4

Feel welcome to Rutas Vivas 4x4! Our goal is for you to live the best adventures in our SUVs through the southwest area of Asturias, starting from Cangas de Narcea, where our base is located.

Through our itineraries you will not only get to know the most impressive Asturian landscapes, but we will also take you to places where you can try their gastronomy and discover the products that are made locally. We will take you through the main points of interest in the region such as the Muniellos Biosphere Reserve, the Fuentes del Narcea or the Parador Nacional de Corias >. We give you the option of designing your route by meeting us or with a pick-up at the Asturias airport.

Fundamentally we work with two different 4x4 routes:

• Chapels Route:

On this off-road tour we begin by seeing the chapel of San Antonio, which is located in the Cascarín neighborhood (Cangas de Narcea) and from there we head towards the Sierra del Pando, while we see the surrounding towns, on the banks of the Narcea or the Luiña.

We will visit different chapels that are very loved by the locals, and that is where the figures of the Saints for whom they celebrate the summer festivals are found.

From Magdalena we will continue towards Trasmonte, passing through the old Coto mine and different towns in the area, such as Vidal, Gedrez, Jalón, Piedrfita or Riotorno.

We are going to make stops so that the guide can explain in detail the peculiarities of each place.

In Brañas de Narcea we can see the place where the Narcea River is born, next to the Hermo Monastery. Very close to here there is a restaurant where we will stop to eat a good Asturian menu and rest before returning.

• Holly Sanctuary Route

We head towards the Port of Leitariegos, to Puenticiella. Here we head towards Cobos and drive along different paths that lead us to the Acebo Sanctuary, where we will stop for half an hour.

In this place you will be able to photograph some excellent landscapes, you will be able to go inside to see this wonderful church and you will even be able to acquire the well-known "Holy Ribbons", blessed.

We will also be in the place where the most famous stage of the Cycling Tour of Asturias ends.

We resume the circuit to go towards Vegalapiedra, Pilarina and Tebongo, with off-road parts. We will pass through famous wineries in the area, since they are traditionally vineyard lands. In one of these wineries a stop is planned for you to do a wine tourism session and you can try some delicious wines,with accompanying tapas.
