Bodegas Protos

Bodegas Protos has the privilege of having been created in the bowels of one of the most important fortresses in the region, the Peñafiel castle, a reference place for the entire Castilian-Leonese community and headquarters of the Museum of Wine.

We offer the possibility of visiting its two wineries, the old one that runs through the interior of the mountain and the new one designed by architect Richard Rogers. All visits include a tour of both wineries and a tasting of their wines at the end of the journey.

At Bodegas Protos we have developed a wide variety of possibilities so that you can choose the one that best suits your preferences:

• Sightseeing tour: The duration is approximately 1.5 hours, including the tasting of a Verdejo white wine and a Crianza red wine. A reservation can be made individually or in a group and visits will take place with a minimum of 8 people.

• Visit Protos Diversidad: Tasting of a Verdejo white wine, a rosé, a young oak red wine and a Crianza is offered.

• Visit Protos Gran Selección: Option A: at the end of the visit there will be a commented tasting of 3 high-end wines: Crianza, Reserva and Selection. Option B: at the end of the tour there will be a commented tasting of 3 high-end wines: reserve, selection and gran reserva.

• Technical visit: Visit intended for professionals in the wine sector who request a more technical explanation about the process of making our wines, including a more detailed tasting.

• Introduction to tasting course: There are also basic 4-hour tasting courses aimed at those who want to get in touch with the world of wine and learn to taste it. There is also the possibility of doing a longer training day (8 hours) where you delve deeper into this exciting world.

• Organization of events for companies: As a novelty, the possibility of using the winery facilities for the organization of different events is offered: work meetings, conferences, talks, symposiums, tastings... Consult prices and options.
