Bodegas Briego

Fompredaza, a town in Valladolid where Bodegas Briego is located, has always been a town with a great winemaking tradition. The Benito Hernando family, owner of the winery, has recovered this tradition that our father already practiced in the 60s.

The name Bodegas Briego is synonymous with struggle, struggle for the quality of our wine, for the defense of rural life and for revitalizing the town that has always been our home.

After restructuring the old vineyards, in 1988 a new plantation began in Curiel de Duero, Pesquera de Duero, Peñafiel and Fompedraza. Currently our lands have a total of 70 hectares of our own in production, some of them more than 60 years old.

It was in 1992 when we achieved the dream of making the first wine with D.O Ribera del Duero. It was recognition of the hard work of many years.
