Company Overview
The Battibaleno Association carries out a laborious campaign to monitor the cetaceans of the Mediterranean Sea, financing this activity with the contributions of those who take part in excursions for recreational and cultural purposes.
Among the association's proposals aimed at spotting cetaceans:

Advantageous discounts are available for groups, families and students and boarding takes place at the port of Genoa.
Sailing on a splendid cabin cruiser that can carry up to 10 people, Battibaleno will guide you to discover the life of cetaceans, giving you the opportunity to contribute to the monitoring activity carried out by the Association.

Alberto Marco GattoniSkipper and President BattibalenoAlberto Marco Gattoni is a captain, professional photographer and science communicator with over 30 years of experience in managing sailing and motor boats. Founder and President of the Battibaleno association, he has dedicated much of his career to monitoring cetaceans in the Mediterranean, totaling more than 120,000 nautical miles and 2,200 expeditions in the Pelagos Sanctuary area. Specializing in transfers, research expeditions and whale watching cruises, Alberto combines his activity as skipper with that of sailing and maritime art teacher, creating important training projects such as the "Delphis Training" course and innovative cetacean photography workshops.
His solid international background includes training at the prestigious Les Glénans school and the Italian Naval League, the title of RYA Yacht Master, the Unlimited Coast Command Qualification and the ACCOBAMS quality certification. A direct, empathetic and polyglot person (he speaks fluent Italian, English and French), Alberto conceives navigation as a tool to share his greatest passion, convey respect for the sea and tell what the waves have taught him.
