Whale Watch Liguria

Whale Watch Liguria is a consortium that organizes naturalistic excursions to spot cetaceans in the Ligurian Sea sanctuary.

The Consortium has 5 units ranging from a capacity of 100 to a maximum of 350 passengers, with a total capacity of 1150 passengers. We organize daily excursions departing from Genoa, Savona, Alassio, Varazze and Arenzano to the most beautiful places on the coast with the aim of spotting wonderful cetaceans.

It is important to remember that in order to live the experience of an encounter with a non-captive cetacean it is, first of all, necessary to navigate, sometimes for several hours, so it is necessary to begin the excursion prepared, both mentally and materially .

Seeing a dolphin or a whale from afar is certainly a fascinating and emotional experience, and the Ligurian Sea is populated with these marine species that you can be sure of spotting only in the case of calm seas and in the absence of wind. You can choose between:

• Dolphin Watch: excursion departing from Genoa Acquario; suitable for audiences of all ages, the 5-hour excursion allows you to participate in the research and observation of the 8 species of cetaceans that populate the International Sanctuary of the Ligurian Sea.
• Whale Watch: allows you to spot the eight species that populate the Ligurian Sea; suitable for anyone.

• Whale Watch - a tour of the Cetacean Sanctuary (lasting between 4 and 9 hours) to observe the 8 species of marine mammals that populate the protected area; a biologist on board comments on the sightings and collects scientific data.
