Windsport Daimús has endless activities at its Marine School, in Valencia. Today we want to encourage you to try kayaks. A sport that does not require great efforts nor does it require great physical fitness. With a little skill in a few minutes you will be ready to navigate the sea without fear in one of the two-seater kayaks.

• The courses focused on kayaking are for children from six to nine, or ten to thirteen years old. They have practical classes but also some theory. In the course they will learn to use technical language, they will know the parts of the boat, they will learn to get on both land and sea and to handle the oars, they will also learn to distinguish the different types of waves.
• Classes will take place between ten and one, with the possibility of dropping off the children at nine and picking them up at two with a small extra cost.
• They will have practical classes and workshops, as well as theory. They will also spend some time teaching them safety measures at sea.

WindSports Daimús invites you to try paddle surfing on Daimús beach, in Valencia. A new and very fashionable sport that continues to grow in followers and followers. Perhaps it is the ease of practice that attracts so much attention in this sport, and on the other hand, it can be practiced all year round, and that is always an advantage.

With this course you will be able to move independently on the board and use various techniques, in addition to acquiring the necessary knowledge to practice this sport correctly and without risks.

The courses can be a two-hour session, or three days, with two hours per day, or you can also request individual classes with schedules adapted to you.

In a first paddle surf session you will learn to distinguish the types of boards and paddles, they will teach you the best position on the board and what dry paddling is like. You will also practice different exercises on the board. In a second session they will tell you about the safety rules and interpretation in the aquatic environment. You will learn the specific warm-up, launching and beaching, tipping and untipping and pivoting techniques, in addition to improving paddling technique. The third session will be dedicated to technique and initiation in waves.

Surfing will always be the star sport to practice on the sea, there is no one who has tried surfing and been able to resist continuing to practice it. WindSports Daimús has surfing courses for all ages in Valencia.

With this course they want you to acquire basic skills as well as some specific surfing techniques. Once completed, you will be able to continue practicing on your own. If what you want is to improve your technique because you have already tried surfing before, you are in the right place. They will know how to demand and teach you what you need to continue progressing.

They have three types of classes...

• Introduction to surfing. Two-hour classes in which you will learn the basics to be able to hold on to the board without falling and from there continue improving. Classes are open to the public, but always by age and level.
• Individual classes. They are private classes for one person or even for a small group. They can be organized all year round.
• Surf courses. A surf course lasts three days, each day you will receive two hours of class, with a theoretical part and a practical part.

To carry out surfing activities or participate in classes or courses, it is necessary to give twenty-four hours' notice as very specific sea conditions are required.

The catamaran is a type of dinghy sail, a very comfortable boat that allows you to enjoy a relaxed and fun day at sea. WindSports Daimús has these boats in the Daimús beach area, in Valencia, ready to use.

In the sailing course you will learn specific knowledge as well as basic and professional techniques along with safety and orientation materials at sea. The courses take place from Monday to Sunday with a flexible schedule and can be practiced from the age of twelve. It is necessary to take into account the weather conditions, the wind and its speed, the direction, height of the waves and the ambient temperature, all of these are safety measures.

Before starting classes you will fill out a form that allows you to know if you have prior knowledge and helps place you by level.

In the first session you will receive notions about wind theory, boat steering, parts of the catamaran, rigging and basic tacking.

In the second session everything related to safety regulations, advanced tacking, rescue and unpairing of the boat.

In the third you will receive classes on meteorology, capsizing and decapsulating and jibing.

In a fourth session you will try different skills on the boat, stopping the boat, launching and beaching.

Independent of the initiation course, in a fifth session, you will be taught how to handle the rod, the use of harnesses and advanced jibing.

WindSports Daimús carries out very complete Windsurfing courses. They combine theoretical, technical and security knowledge as well as practical sessions. Windsurfing combines sailing with surfing on the water, and is a sport that can be adapted to all ages.

Classes are taught from Monday to Friday, always from nine thirty to eleven thirty or from twelve to two in the afternoon. In addition to these courses there are courses on weekends, for all classes good weather conditions are needed but especially at advanced level four.

• Level I. A level for beginners in which you will learn the parts of the board, the theory of winds, balance techniques, rigging and unrigging, transporting equipment, launching and beaching,... Finally they will teach you how to make a turn 180º.
• Level II. It is still an initiation level, you will learn to navigate on a cross course, to luff and arrive, also to navigate on course without losing windward, to control the direction, turns and get out of dangerous situations.
• Level III. This level is basic and contemplates these aspects: you will perform maneuvers, you will be introduced to harnesses and beachstart, you will complete routes, you will jibe and you will adapt to the waves in addition to learning self-rescue by disassembling the sail.
• Level IV. At the most advanced level you will receive advanced notions about meteorology and warm-up, you will learn to navigate in unfavorable conditions, you will be introduced to gliding and the foot-straps position. And finally you will learn to navigate with a harness.

It will be a day with all the comforts that our facilities on Daimús Beach offer you. Here you can change, store your belongings and rest after the activities that can be seen:

- Paddle Surf: a modality that adapts very well to groups because, in addition to each person using an individual board to make a trip, there is big sup or giant board on which several of us can surf at the same time with all the fun that entails.

- Sea kayak: we will go out in pairs in each of the boats to advance out to sea and swim if we feel like jumping into the water. The level of excitement will be determined by the swell that day.

- Hobie cat: a pleasant ride on this small catamaran will allow you to chat among colleagues that can only arise outside the walls of the office.

At Windsports Daimús we understand that if you are on a bachelor party you want it all, which is why our proposal involves a perfectly organized day so that you can try most of our water sports.

We will be very close to Gandía beach where we will have a first contact with various disciplines that will help you have a good time but at the same time you will be learning. These are:

- Catamaran: we will all board a hobie cat together in which we will take a ride along the coast appreciating the surroundings and relaxing for what comes next if we have just finished reach the facilities.

- Windsurf: we will show you, two by two, how to get on the board when it is in the water and how we can raise the sail without falling into the sea .

- Paddle surf and Big sup: we will take these boards equipped with a paddle to travel the coast individually, in the case of the normal equipment, and in a group for the board giant. Achieving perfect coordination on big sup will be exciting.

- Kayak: we will take a boat for two people and we will row out to sea learning how to do it together.

While you can use our facilities on the beach with changing rooms, lockers, showers and an area to rest.
