At Sunset Kite Center we are your best companions in Tenerife if kiting or surfing are your thing. We have a complete establishment that meets all official requirements. In it, in addition to dedicating ourselves to teaching, you can acquire specific material from the brands that have the most recognition in the sports market.
Decide if you want to count on us to:
- Become an expert in kitesurfing: also valid if you are currently looking for a first contact with this discipline to know if you like it enough to want to continue in it. We will approach learning in phases since we are dealing with very interesting material but somewhat complex if you do not know how to work.
The parts of any of our courses spend the first hours in the sand, seeking mastery of the material and control of the kite with the current. The last moments of the course are when we will be in the water also training with the board and learning to synchronize its use with the kite.
- Know how to move on the waves: our instructors are also trained to give surfing classes. They are taught in all available degrees of difficulty and are integrated, if you want to spend several days intensively with us, in surf camps.
Summary Kitesurfing
At Sunset Kite Center we share with you the experience in this sport of our team of qualified instructors. We work under the authorization of the Canary Islands Government, which recognizes the professionalism of these monitors accredited by the regional federation and the international entity IKO. With these details you can be sure of guaranteed learning.
The kite courses that we organize can be individual, booked in pairs or for complete groups. In the latter case, we will always limit ourselves to a maximum of 4 students in order to give specific attention to each person.
In any of the modalities, the kite program is developed in phases:
- First: still on land, it is time to learn how to ride the kite and prove that we are capable of controlling and handling it correctly. We will focus on security aspects.
- Second phase: we will begin to enter the water to continue piloting the kite according to the technique known as body drag. We will head towards the water start, which will be our beginnings on the table.
- Third part: we continue into the sea to know how to control the board and navigate with it later.
Summary Surfing
At Sunset Kite Center we are also specialists in teaching surfing. On the Tenerife beaches of El Médano, we develop lessons and surfcamps that are aimed at helping any profile begin to thrive on the waves.
We do it through:
- Special care when addressing a specific number of students: we prefer to dedicate ourselves to small groups to deeply understand the needs of each of the participants. In addition, we give you the possibility of booking classes as a couple or exclusively for you. This option will be very interesting if you are looking to reinforce a specific aspect of your technique.
- Ease of adaptation to any level that is presented to us: in the same way that we receive students of all ages, we teach classes for the level you have from the most basic to those who need advanced knowledge to continue surfing with greater skill.
- Different beaches depending on the weather conditions of the day: so that you don't miss out on your surf class, we change the point of the lesson depending on the place on the coast that is best that day to receive us. We move between El Médano Bay, Jaquita beach, Cabezo, Las Américas and Pelada.
