Sitges Surf Club

From Sitges Surf Club it offers you the possibility of practicing one of the sports that are currently in fashion and that brings the most benefits to those who practice it: paddle surf. It consists of walking above the sea, that is, paddling standing on a surfboard with the help of an oar. You can go on excursions or, on the contrary, surf and perform speed tests. Are you up for it?

Its handling is very simple so it can be done by people of all ages, from the smallest to the oldest. A couple of sessions with our instructors will be enough to become a professional.

We have 2 level classes:

• Initiation: we will present the material to you and you will learn the main positions. You will learn the paddling technique, how to stand up straight and the basic paddling and turning.

• Advanced level: you will become an expert who will know how to row, turn on your knees and with an advanced foot. You will practice technical paddling and stroke technique. We will also teach you the main safety and hygiene rules.

Classes can be individual or group, however you feel most comfortable. They usually last 2 hours.

If you prefer, you can rent the equipment to enjoy this sport at your own pace. You just need to become a member of the Sitges Surf Club, a free procedure.

We also do such fun activities as Big SUP, a type of this sport that consists of putting a group of several people on a huge surfboard and challenging them to navigate while trying to maintain balance. Laughter is guaranteed!

Sitges Surf Club is a surf school located in Sitges that was born from the idea and enthusiasm of training new surfers. Our continuing training program allows us to teach the practice of this sport and, at the same time, transmit values of respect for the environment and, above all, the sea.

Our surf courses consist of both a practical and a theoretical part. This is a training program that will allow us to advance in leaps and bounds in this sport. From the first day you will check your progress since our training is governed by the standards and methods established by national and international federations and organizations.

The blocks into which we divide our program are the following:

• Initiation Block: we will teach you the main positions, paddling technique and how to stand up. Safety and hygiene in surfing are other aspects that we will comment on.

• Advanced block: you will learn to choose a wave, go up and perform technical rows. Danger zones and safety regulations are also included in this program.

• Basic maneuvers block: you will be able to increase speed and improve paddling and lifting.

At all levels we will include a theoretical part dedicated to the environment, meteorology and the history of surfing.

Classes can be individual or group, as you choose. Each of them is 2 hours long.

We also offer surf equipment for rent at a very affordable price but it is necessary to become a member to enjoy this opportunity.

At Sitges Surf Club we organize every summer a fun and complete urban camp in which children from 6 to 14 years can practice various water sports and enjoy every minute of your vacation to the fullest.

The campus takes place in our facilities located on Aigüadolç beach, in Sitges, from the last week of June to the first week of September. It is done in weekly shifts but there is no problem if you want to register your children for more than one week, whether consecutive or not.

The schedule will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Monday to Friday, although there is the possibility of extending the camp until 5 p.m. in the afternoon, time that we will invest in didactic classes.

The classes will be taught by highly qualified instructors with extensive experience in each of the sports we offer. We will practice:

• Surfing: We will teach you some basic notions about position, paddling and how to stand up.

• Paddle surf: we will move through the water on a surfboard and have a great time with this currently booming sport.

• Skateboard: we will practice bowl, one of the most fun forms of this sport. We will teach children the most sophisticated tricks to turn them into nothing short of professionals.

• Longboard & Cruiser: we will move around the city practicing this new sport modality. Of course, always safely and supervised by our monitors.

• Big Surf: we will get up to 15 people on a huge surfboard with which we will have to move without falling into the water. Will we get it?

The price includes a kit shirt for all students, the necessary material to practice the activity and mandatory insurance.
