At Gran Canaria Kitesurf Escuela we train you to practice windsurfing and kitesurfing on the beaches of Pozo Izquierdo, one of the best-known spots among raiders for its excellent conditions for these sports.
We have monitors accredited by the IKO and the official Sailing Federation that guarantee effective and, above all, safe learning.
We organize lessons divided by levels and age groups. You can also book private lessons that fit your needs. Choose between:
- Kitesurfing: we will teach you the basic fundamentals of this discipline, always emphasizing safety, such as control of the kite, position on the board or the ascent of the kite from the sea.
- Windsurf: begin to feel its benefits by participating in introductory classes. If you already know it, we help you perfect your technique and perform incredible jumps by recording yourself on video so you can correct your mistakes.
We provide the students with boards and sails that fit their weight, age and level of difficulty. Each day we will choose the most suitable point on the island for the lessons taking into account the weather.

Gran Canaria Kitesurf Windsurf School makes the most of the wind and weather conditions of the island to teach you how to practice this sport at any time of the year.
We offer you individual and group windsurfing courses for all ages that we adapt to what you are looking for. We are capable of instructing you at any level with lessons from:
- Initiation: you will take the first steps in this discipline by learning to get on the board, stay on it and navigate. You will also know how to assemble the rig and the main safety aspects.
- Improvement: advance your knowledge by improving your posture, skills to turn or jump.
- Jumps: we will turn you into an expert in acrobatics on the sea capable of doing forward, back or push loop.
Javier Espín will be the teacher in charge of transmitting to you his knowledge obtained throughout his 25 years as an athlete. In addition to being a windsurf instructor accredited by the Spanish Sailing Federation, he has a degree in Physical Education.
Summary Surfing
You can sign up for one of our surf days aimed at introducing new participants to this sport. The instructors will teach you everything you need to control the board and start entering the sea and waves with it.
And if what you want is to continue improving your technique in this sport, we also have intermediate and advanced level courses.
Furthermore, every day we select the beach with the best weather conditions, and therefore the best waves, so that surfing is as satisfactory as possible.

From Gran Canaria Kitesurf School we did not want to be left behind and we have also launched ourselves into the discovery of this activity.
We offer you the possibility of coming with us to get started in SUP through our initiation course. In a very short time you will be able to go out on your own to surf and you will start to take in small hours. The rest is just practicing to be better every day.
