Very close to Santander is the Liencres Surf School where we have left aside the large tourist crowds in some parts of the Cantabrian coast to make way for surf lovers with the best training that our experience guarantees. .

Here the waves are constant so you can take classes with our instructors with detailed knowledge of this space. They all have qualifications from official federations and are prepared to respond to emergency situations.

Spend the days in the surf house that we have installed in the center of Liencres where you have everything you need for a stay based on the sea and the waves. Whether you are staying with us or visiting during the day you can:

- Participate in surf and bodyboard courses: for a single day or for the entire week, with discounts if you register more than one student from the same family. There will be 120 minutes of lessons from the initial level or the one you need.

- Follow a paddle surf program: totally practical since we do it with excursions along the Ría del Pas or while we go down the river until we reach the beach in half a day of intense activity.

- Rent the material: because you don't feel like it or you prefer not to carry your own or, simply, because you don't have it. Request our boards and wetsuits with a reduced price for more than one day.

At the Liencres Surf School we share with you the knowledge about this sport and its environment, which we have achieved after 15 years as instructors, from Canallave beach.

We are fortunate to be located in one of the best coastal areas in the north of the peninsula to navigate the waves. With the environment part solved, we provide the classes, material and professional equipment that you need to learn the keys to surfing.

We will spend 2 hours in each of the contracted lessons with a minimum of 4 students and never more than 8 for each instructor. You will be selected by age and knowledge so that we can follow the same training point. They are available at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 4 p.m. in the afternoon.

In our introductory courses and classes you learn, for example:

- The concepts related to safety when we enter the sea and also outside of it. We will know how we should access water correctly.

- We will work on paddling and the route to position yourself on the board properly. We will continue to overcome the wave and sit back to wait for the next one. Once we have passed this block we will discover how to turn the board and catch the wave. We will move on to somewhat more technical aspects until finishing with the return to the sand.

At the Liencres Surf School we go up the Ría del Pas, undoing the path of the water that reaches the beach while we enjoy paddle surfing. These crossings take us away from the waves for a few hours and give us a different vision of the Cantabrian landscapes in which the golden tone of the sand is replaced by the greenery of lush vegetation.

We will teach you how to move with a board and paddle while we follow any of these excursions, although we also recommend them if you do not need the instructions of an instructor:

- Walk along the estuary: it will be 2 hours in which we will focus on the Oruña area for which we will have all the material. It will be very easy for us to maintain and advance on this great board because we will not be attacked by the waves that surround us in the sea.

- Descent of the Pas River: we will start from Oruña to end right where the estuary empties, already on the beach of the school town. There we will wait for you in our vehicle to facilitate your return to the starting point after the 3 hours 30 minutes that it will have taken us to complete the adventure. To arrange this outing, at least 2 participants are required.

At the Liencres Surf School we provide assistance to those who want to spend their holidays among the waves with us with a surf house where you can even come with your pet. It is located within this Cantabrian town to give you access to its shops and services while also staying close to the beach where we will go every day.

In total we have space for around twenty visitors who can stay in rooms for two and three people, each with its own bathroom. You can hire full or half board, according to your wishes.

Trying to give you closed options so that you don't even have to think, we have designed packages for surf students and others for those who only need school material:

- Week to start surfing: composed of 5 nights of accommodation plus 120 minutes of daily lessons with the material available for the rest of the day. It is also in a weekend version with 2 nights in the hostel.

- Accommodation with equipment rental: with the same durations, one week and two days, but without the need to sign up for our surf classes. The rented material will be at your disposal from morning to sunset.
