Resumen de la empresa

Clube do Paiva is known as the club of river experts, at least in the northern area of Portugal. The company was born in 2003 in the town of Alvarenga, a small Portuguese town belonging to the municipality of Arouca.

If we are characterized by something, it is for having years and years of experience in the circuit of activities related to whitewater. Our staff is expressly made up of local experts, all of them accredited with the certificate of the International Rafting Federation.

Since the year of our inauguration, back in 2003, we have developed all our activities in the Arouca Geopark. There we offer excursions of the most diverse water adventure sports such as rafting, canoeing, canyoning or river trekking through rivers.

For this purpose, we use the main river, the Paiva, and its tributaries, with the incredible Aguieiras waterfall in front. From the beginning, this local company became one of the leaders in the region. Currently, we continue to project the same enthusiasm as the day we started, and that can be revealed by both our clients, national or foreign, as well as our partners.

For us, it is vitally important to share the passion for what we do with our guests, which is why we continue to do our best to adapt to the circumstances of the present without ceasing to believe in the foundations that founded our company in the past and put us on the map. .

We insist, all our activities are held in protected areas of nature such as the Arouca UNESCO Geopark, in the Magical Mountains or in the spaces of the Natura 2000 Network.

Another fundamental aspect, which we strictly comply with, has to do with security. We follow strict rules on our tours and, likewise, all the material used to carry out the activities, of excellent quality, is new and is reviewed and renewed frequently.

Now all that remains is to let yourself go and enjoy one of the most surprising areas of Portugal with the magnificent adventures that we have lovingly prepared for your delight.

Safe, fun, nature, have to come back for more. That's the thought that persists after an incredible time with the company's team.

As a Porto native who has lived abroad for some time, I was delighted to win a rafting experience as a birthday present where I could just let myself go (because these guys really know what they are doing), be off the beaten path (not all know that this 1.5h detour is worth including in your weekend trip to Porto), enjoy the stunning scenery (Seriously. Breathe it in…) and have fun (Did I mention the amazing sense of humor the guides have? ).

How could I better connect myself to the north of Portugal? I went rafting with my dad and a friend. It was a mild day with some more intense moments. We had kids, young adults and experienced seniors on the boats. I'll be back for more as soon as I can, mainly because there are tracks and modalities for higher intensities too.

Gonçalo was the perfect guide. Possibly all these guys would exude this vibe of having everything “under control” and being thoughtful, easygoing, funny and able to adjust to both wild spirits and quiet souls. I'll find out next time.
