Paddle Surf is a relatively recent sport on our coasts that began to be practiced on the coasts of Hawaii in ancient times and little by little it entered our days, as surf instructors began to use this board and their paddle to be able to stand upright on their boards and thus have better visibility of the class and possible eddies that could be in the water.

The popularity of the modern form of Paddle Surfing reached the United States in 2000 with Laird Hamilton and Dave Kalama, who introduced the sport to California.

Since then it has been practiced more and more on all coasts of the world, since it is a versatile way of practicing surfing. It is easier, in principle, for those not initiated in the world of waves, although it does not prevent them from feeling its most exciting side when the time comes, like traditional surfing.
