10 things to do in Tarragona

This city is full of history and culture, is a famous destination to pass several days in the Costa Dorada and practice the best water sports, or in the hinterland, where the woodlands and mountains provide more surprises and adventures. Is a place that whatever you do, won’t disappoint you.

1. MTB route in Tortosa



Enjoy the greenery and trails of Val de Zafán with a route with a mountain bike for a day - is not an excessively hard activity, so is suitable for anyone with a minimum physical preparation. The region of Terra Alta is perfect for those who are looking for excitement with the MBT route and breathe fresh air whilst riding through roads surrounded by almond trees and pine groves.

2. Enotourism in La Vilella Baixa



Meet how the recollection and elaboration of the traditional wine with Priorato Controlled Designation of Origin (DOC) goes, with a visit to the vineyards and wineries of Vilella Baixa. An ideal offer for wine fans and to pass a nice day with your partner or friends, tasting wines whilst witnessing the whole necessary process that ends with the wine in a glass.

3. Go climbing in L’Ampolla



Enjoy the best rock walls of The Puertos National Park, between Amposta and Delta del Ebro. 6. Kayaking in Ebro’s river mouth



If you are traveling with the kids and you near Amposta, you will love the route through the river mouth of Ebro, that is carried out by kayak, and enjoy the incredible surroundings that the Delta del Ebro National Park give. Departing from the part of the river in Deltebre, we will continue paddling through the Buda island, where you can swim. This is an activity loved by adults and youngsters.

7. Rent a sailboat in Segur de Calafell



Rent this watercraft to pass a day surrounded by the coast, accompanied by your kids, or with friends, where you can swim in beautiful coves, one full of calmness and charm. The Bajo Penedés zone has three coves: Canyadell, Crancs, and Fonda, where you can make stops and comfortably sunbath while the little ones practice snorkeling.

8. Practice sailing in Altafulla



Learn light sailing for kids, youngsters or seniors in the incredible beach of Altafulla, a location of Tarragona that is surrounded by mountains and a spectacular castle. 9. Cross the Císter route with an off-road



Travel through Císter with an all-terrain and discover the most brutal and fun roads until arriving the Vallbona, Santa Creus de les Monges, and Poblet monasteries -highlights of this religious order. 10. Kitesurfing course in Sant Carles de la Rápita
