10 things to do in Murcia

Relax, have fun, learn about culture and history and release the adrenaline you have inside of you will all the different activities that are found in the region of Murcia and offered to the visitors. Historical buildings inherited from the Roman Empire, such as the Roman Theater of Cartagena, natural paths on horseback through the Valley or routes on jet skis in the Mar Menor are waiting for you. We teach you these and other activities to practice in Murcia.

1. Rafting in the Segura River.



Do you like the fast waters, the riverbeds, and the wild vegetation? You have to do rafting on the Segura River. Begin your adventure in the municipality of Cieza and continue to Blanca. During the trip, you will witness the natural landscape that surrounds one of the most important rivers in Spain in the historic Ricote Valley. You will enjoy a route that, in addition to nature, will provide fun and excitement.

2. Parachuting near Murcia.



Jumps from a small plane at 3,300 meters in the municipality of Ontur (Albacete). This town, which is just a few kilometers from Murcia, will give you the opportunity to enjoy the incredible sensation of dropping your body to the void. While you are in the air you will have the opportunity to see, from a privileged position, the vast fields of Castilla and La Mancha.

3. Segway tour through Cartagena.



On few kilometers from Murcia (only 49), we find a city that hides a great historical culture of Roman ancestors, Cartagena. We can not think of a better plan to contemplate this port city than on a to enjoy its monuments and traditions in total comfort. On the walk, we can visit constructions as old as the Roman theater of Cartagena or the modern National Museum of Underwater Archeology.

4. Kayak route through Mazarrón Bay.



Take a tour of the transparent waters of the cove of the Lighthouse, discover the interior of the famous cave of the Giant or sail calmly through the Black Cove enjoying the views and the sea breeze that will give you is close to the Bay of Mazarrón. Its calm waters are the perfect opportunity to make a route in pairs, with children or friends.

5. Horseback route through El Valle.



Do you love the woodlands and fields? Get on the backs of a horse and follow the trails of the Regional Park of Valle and Carrascoy as if you were a complete rider. Its routes surrounded by pine forests and vegetation typical of the Iberian Peninsula, such as the plants of Cocoscoja, will make your way pleasant and entertaining. If we are attentive, during the way we can observe flying over our heads the Bonelli's eagle, an endangered specimen that lives in this territory of the province of Murcia.

6. Jet skiing in La Manga.



Nothin better than exploring a beach that piloting a jet ski, and the Murcia beach of La Manga was not going to be an exception. Located between San Pedro del Pinatar and Cabo de Palos, this fine sand cord that appears on the sea meets the ideal conditions for fun uploaded to this water vehicle that leaves no one indifferent.

7. Karts in San Javier.



Are you out on a trip with your partner, family or friends near the Mar Menor? Participating in a kart race in San Javier does not seem like a bad option to spend a fun day. And if we have finished the race with desire for more, this town of Murcia is ready to give us more. The environment in which it is located will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the history through the Museum of Local History, attend Jazz music festivals or enjoy the acrobatics of the Patrol Eagle hunts.

8. Hot Air Balloon ride through Alhama of Murcia.



It looks like the perfect plan for Valentine's Day. Surprise your partner with a magnificent balloon ride through the skies of Alhama de Murcia. From the heights and the tranquility that the balloon will give you, you will be able to observe the ravines and forests of the Sierra de Espuña, the living nature of the Sierra de Carrascoy, the protected area of the ravines of Gebas and the architecture of this small Murcian town.

9. Paintballing in Molina del Segura.



Participate in a fun paintball battle, at just only 10 minutes from the city center of Murcia. The wild lands of this location, situated in the natural region of Vega Media del Suegra, make it a perfect area to practice this type of activity. Pines, bushes, and holes in the ground will be our defense to try not to receive any "colored ball".

10. Scuba dive in the Menor Sea:



The blue and warm waters of the beaches that make up the Mar Menor will make your immersion all enjoyment. Immersing yourself in these waters you will find marine species as surprising as the seahorse, the lagartina and, like the sea bream, the serrano, etc.
