10 things to do in Fuerteventura

Located in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, the second biggest island at the archipelago, Fuerteventura, is one of the islands with major touristic attractiveness. Its typical coastal homes, steep cliffs, its beaches of fine sand and crystal clear waters make it a special place where you can practice different types of aquatic, terrestrial and aerial activities. We propose you ten of them:

1. Kitesurfing in Corralejo.



If you are looking to learn or improve your techniques in kitesurfing, the Fuerteventura beaches are the best place to do it, specifically, the Corralejo beaches. The strong wind currents will make you elevate over the sea to the sufficient height to carry out stunts or will allow you to learn fastest thanks to all the impulses. The city of Corralejo others it lodges other tourist attractions, a water park and another botanical one.

2. Sailing to the Lobos island.



With some places declared as National Parks, the Lobos island is one the most paradisiac destinations all over the Canary archipelago. To visit, there is no better than boarding a sailboat, enjoying the views and crystal clear waters, whilst the watercraft’s skipper is in charge of everything. Seizing the journey, you can also visit the island’s highest peak, La Caldera volcano or arrive at the Martiño Lighthouse to observe the south of Lanzarote from a far point.

3. A buggy route through the Matas Blancas beach.



Found in the Canary location of Pájara, the Matas Blancas beach is the perfect place to cross and travel through the coastal zone of Fuerteventura by buggy. A combination between the road and off-road routes will make the route with this vehicle a fun and exciting one. During the journey, you will be a witness of the incredible red sights of the Canary island, a reflection of the planet Mars.

4. A Segway route to the Tostón Lighthouse.



Are you in Fuerteventura? If that is the case, you can’t leave without visiting the Tostón lighthouse, in Punta Ballena, whilst boarding a fun Segway. The easiness that the roads provide, the ones the connect with the lighthouse, will make to pass a fun day with the family, couple or friends, traveling, without getting tired, the entertaining trails. Once you arrive at the lighthouse, there will be a surprise in the inside. In it, you will find the Canary TRaditional Fishing Museum.

5. Crazy UFO inflatable in Morro Jable.



If you are looking for a different day, that provides you with fun times and adrenaline, board a Crazy UFO inflatable that you will find in the beaches of Morro Jable, in the city of Pájara. In addition to being uploaded to an inflatable shot by a motorbike or boat, once on land, you will have at your disposal a variety of restaurants where you will find a wide variety of fresh fish ready to make your mouth water.

6. Scuba dive in the waters of Fuerteventura.



Famous thanks to its marine richness, the Fuerteventura island is one of the most beautiful areas of Europa to go and scuba dive. Its waters are suitable for all skill levels, so, if the thing you want to try is a sport that makes you feel like a fish, don’t think it twice. The waters of the Lobos island, Punta Amanay, Veril, Chupadero… will leave you breathless thanks to the great variety of marine life you will find underwater (green turtles, sea horses, sea stars, etc.).

7. Parasailing in Pájara.



Get excited whilst getting refreshing in the Morro Jable beaches. Feel how you elevate over the sea whilst practicing one of the most fun aquatic waters, parasailing. Dragged by a motorboat, you will reach with a parachute (anchored in the motorboat) a height of 150 meters, the sufficient height to see the beautiful Jandía National Park.

8. An off-road route through Cofete.



If you are a fan of motors and the off-road, the routes that surround the Cofete beach are made up to your tastes. Its rocky trails, the mountains that form the Montañoso de Jandía massif, and the emblematic Casa de Winter, will make this route an amazing one. Also, during the journey, you will be a witness of one of the most enchanting virgin islands of the Canary Islands.

9. Go kayaking through Tarajalelo.



Are you looking for something that provides calmness and disconnection? A kayak route through the Tarajaleko beach will comfort you. Characterized by its calm waters, warm sun and fine black sand is the ideal zone to relax the muscles. Whilst you paddle, you will see the marine life thanks to the waters transparencies.

10. Jet skiing in Jandía.



Enjoy and get splashed of a bomb of sensations that only a jet ski can provide. Boarding this watercraft in the waters that this Jandía city has, you’ll see the Fuerteventura island from a different perspective. Cross the canary coast from El Cotillo to Jandía. During the journey, you will cross the Cofete or La Concha beach.
