Tips if you are going to do Surfing Camps in Spain

To pass several days in the beach, having fun whilst learning how to catch waves is something that is just priceless, and better if you are accompanied by instructors that adapt to all surfing skill levels. Usually, the groups are small and the monitors will always lend out all the needed pieces of equipment. The only thing you need to do is to choose the destinations and be willing to live a great experience.

1. Friends forever



It is not difficult to meet the same people in more than one camp since it is also a sport shared with the lifestyle term and some tastes are usually the same. So, that if you go to a camp is really probable to make friends with who you will share great and amazing moments.

2. In the beach all day



One of the advantages of surfing is the quantity of hours that you can pass in the beach, whether in or out. During the surfing classes, one of the most important, are the trainings in the dry. There are schools that provide these type of trainings in their own facilities, but the most common thing is that they take place in the beach, where, you then pass to the action to practice all those learned movements and techniques. The sand, water and waves, will be the real protagonists…

3. Balance and coordination



Surf is a sport that requires you to have a good physical condition, although this is something can be improving and acquiring whilst practicing. To control the surfboard, we will use balance, reaction capacity and resistance.

Balance and the capacity of reacting and acting complement each self, so we need to maintain on the surfboard and navigate the sea through the possible fluctuations. Resistance is another important factor, since we need to maintain a posture for a long time.

All of it takes us to the need of having great concentration and control of our body.

4. You’ll meet the sea



Especially, in the surf camps for kids, surfing combines with other sports and activities like can be skating, kayaking, paddle surfing or oceanography that will allow you to acquire all the pieces of knowledge that can be applied in your favourite sport. Also, you will learn to know when the sea is in the optimal moment to be surfed in.

5. Without age limit



Each time, there are more kids enrolling in this type of camps, since the only imprescindible requirement is to know how to swim. Although it really depends on the school, we can find some that accept kids from the age of 6. Also, the adults that see themselves capable of trying this sport, can also practice it despite their age.

When is the right time to visit a surf camp?



To practice this sport in Spain, the favorable months go from the final weeks of April until September. Within these dates, we can find Easter, the long weekend in May and Summer (to enroll in the lengthy camps) but, is also is possible to only enjoy the camp on a weekend.
