For this reason, we offer unique experiences in which you can discover nature, overcome challenges and enjoy a spectacular environment in complete safety and in a personalized way.

Behind this project are qualified people, professional mountain guides with more than 20 years of experience in this field and with accreditations by the Spanish Association of Montama Guides (AEGM) and by the Union of International Mountain Leader Associations (UIMLA).

Our philosophy is based on three pillars: preparation, safety and of course, fun and that is why each experience is organized individually, taking into account the terrain, weather conditions and the level of our adventurers. We work with small groups to guarantee close attention adapted to you.

We are located in the Community of Madrid, so we are going to take you to thoroughly discover corners such as the Sierra de Guadarrama and with different types of activities, although we also do some in the Sierra Nevada, Pyrenees and Picos de Europa. You can choose between guided routes for hiking, trekking, climbing or snowshoeing with different durations, crossings or even orienteering courses. You decide what best suits you and we will take you to enjoy it.

The Sierra de Guadarrama is the perfect setting for all of them, and it is one of the most important places with the greatest ecological value in the Community of Madrid, where the forests and mountains are the ideal space to have a great time. You can't imagine the landscapes you're going to see! There incredible places await you such as Peñalara, La Pedriza or the Roman Road of Fuenfría.

They are ideal experiences for all audiences, from people who want to get started in the world of mountains, to families, groups of friends, business activities or even travelers passing through Madrid since we can also do routes in English.

If you feel like an intrepid adventurer and what you want is to experience the mountain from within, at Sequoia Mountain Guides we encourage you to enjoy the magic that the mountains have in winter through snowshoes and to get to know some of the most special corners there are, dyed in white.

Snowshoes are the ideal option for moving through snowy terrain with ease, thus avoiding sinking as you would if you were only walking with boots. Therefore, it is a unique experience that will allow you to visit places that, otherwise, you would not be able to access.

And don't worry, because if you don't have many notions about this activity, you can also do it. We start from all levels, from those who embark on this adventure for the first time, to those who already know the technique perfectly. The good thing? A certified guide from the AEGM and UIMLA will accompany you throughout the entire route, allowing you to familiarize yourself with the terrain and make you feel, with each meter you advance, much safer while knowing all the techniques in depth.

The routes leave from the Sierra de Guadarrama, a perfect location to develop this activity, just one hour from Madrid where you will be able to discover Peñalara in its most wintery version and also the Lozoya Valley. As you pass, the snow-capped peaks and an immense white blanket will make the ideal setting for this activity.

If you prefer, we have other options in another location outside of Madrid and we organize snowshoeing through the Pyrenees, although these are for several days.

And don't worry about anything, because you just have to bring your food and clothing and we will provide you with all the necessary equipment, both safety and technical, such as rackets and poles.

At Sequoia Mountain Guides we suggest you discover some of the most impressive landscapes of the Sierra de Guadarrama thanks to the guided hiking routes that we do. If you decide to enjoy this activity, you will be just one hour from Madrid, in a perfect environment to discover the mountains and to walk through places full of beauty and history.

All our routes are carried out with a monitor certified both nationally, by the Spanish Association of Mountain Guides, and internationally, by the Union of International Mountain Leader Associations and with more than two decades of experience both carrying out this activity and discovering the terrain.

Before starting the activity and also throughout it, you will be accompanied by the guide who will give you the necessary techniques so that everything is carried out safely and you will not have to worry about the orientation nor the level you have, since they are routes designed for anyone who wants to enjoy the mountains and the mountains, even if it is the first time you do this activity.

Among the proposals, you will find day trips in which you visit places like La Pedriza or Siete Picos, but we also have the option of doing the route in a closed group or even a private excursion for a single person. Just tell us the date you want to come and we will take care of the rest.

The activity also includes an explanation by the guide of the different places that we see, including explanatory stops as well as an appropriate rhythm adapted to the entire group during the walk. As for material, we can advise you in advance on what you need and how to prepare it for the moment we go out walking so that you don't have to worry about anything other than enjoying a hiking route with us.
