Hiking is one of the best experiences that Navarra can offer you. Orbela-Beintza wants to show you the impressive landscapes and trails of Navarra with the help of its mountain guide Mikel Albisu.

The hiking and trekking routes that Orbela-Beintza offers are for all types of people, that is, you do not need experience or great physical preparation. The activities take place in mixed deciduous forests full of beech, oak and beautiful chestnut trees, also in mountain grasslands and in small rocky areas, where you will discover diverse ecosystems with an oceanic climate. In Bidasoa there is a very wide cultural wealth, highlighting its historic rural hamlets, its charming little towns and the most careful landscape that you can find in Spain.

These are your three hiking and trekking options, each with different routes:

• Interpretive walks. A way to get to know the green Pyrenees in two hours. They have a walk through the Castañar de Sarasola area, and another different route through Leurtza, known as the pleasant forest.
• Half day. They are four-hour walks that are very worthwhile and cover up to eight kilometers. You can choose between doing part of the Camino de Santiago, getting to know Leutza and its inhabited forest, appreciating the popular beliefs of San Juan Xar, or taking a witch and smuggling route in Akelarre.
• Full day. Visit the beautiful forest of the Señorío de Beritz, see the Beintza-Labaien circus, walk through Askoli, Atxuria or Mendaur and Ekaitza. Long walks of 15 to 18 kilometers lasting eight hours. Maximum fifteen people. Mountain boots Comfortable clothing and something warm.

Orbela Beintza is a company that organizes caving in the Lezealde Cave, one of the great treasures of Navarra. To get to know it, what better than a guide specialized in caving to show you its corners. In this cave you can perfectly appreciate the karstification process that the limestone rock follows. There you will appreciate firsthand that mystery that nature hides in each of its caves.

The caving excursion begins in Beintza, they will give you the necessary material and a short explanation about karstification. On the way to the cave, you will pass by the Sarasola waterfall, and you will be able to appreciate the water filtration process. Once in the cave, you will overcome three steps that involve some difficulty: a small, somewhat slippery descent, a fairly narrow passage and a small rope climb. When you reach the end you will find the main room of the cave, about twelve meters high. In the most important room of the cave there are original rock formations such as stalactites, huge curtains, large columns and some bathtubs, among other things. At the end you return to Beintza.

The material used during the visit, and which will be provided to you before starting, is made up of a helmet with a flashlight. It is necessary to bring clothing that can be damaged and dirty. The minimum age to be able to carry out this caving activity is twelve years old, with the consent of your parents.

The Orbela Beintza multi-adventure camps were born with the function of promoting the use of Basque or Basque. The groups are organized in different shifts and the children are distributed according to their linguistic level. All Orbela Beintza camps are held in Navarra, in the town of Beintza and its surroundings.

• The camps are seven days, with six nights. The children will enjoy full board at the Beintza Hostel, where they will stay throughout the camp.
• The camp program is full of outdoor activities, nature excursions, caving and many workshops. Basque will be spoken in all activities and the aim is to encourage its use.
• Those in charge of designing and developing the camp program have been professional instructors who know the Beintza area in depth.
• Everything is included. Round trip transfers, maintenance during the week, the service of the monitors and the material for each activity.
