Kendal Mountaineering Services is an outdoor adventure activity provider. We offer a range of bespoke activity and skills training courses to suit all fitness levels.

Enjoy Kendal Mountaineering Services Canoeing in the heart of the Lake District. We use Canadian canoes and have access to the biggest lake in England.

Our sessions include journeying from one end of a lake to the other, whilst enjoying the scenery and observing the wildlife in its natural habitat.

Our service includes all the necessary equipment, safety briefing and an introduction to the basic canoeing skills.

We also offer guided river trips. Before undertaking a river trip, you must have completed a basic flat water skills course in order to demonstrate your competence on the water.

Kendal Mountaineering Services Canoeing is an ideal activity for everyone! We welcome individual and group bookings.

Enjoy Kendal Mountaineering Services Kayaking in the Lake District. We have access to England´s longest lake, which makes our location a superb paddle sport venue.

Our kayaking sessions involve paddling on your own. You are welcome to book a half or full-day visit. A full-day out includes travelling from one end of the lake to the other, visiting many islands along the way.

We also introduce games so as to keep everyone entertained and working together.

Before hitting the water our qualified kayak instructors will impart a safety briefing that includes the capsize drill.

Kendal Mountaineering Services Kayaking also provides guided river trips. In order to take part you must have completed  one of our basic flat water skills sessions.

On steep ground we will use safety ropes for your security.

We offer the following climbing courses:

• Beginners Single Pitch Climbing Session: For those who have never been climbing. It includes basic rope techniques and how to move on rock. It is ideal for groups and individuals.
• Learning to Lead Climbing Course: You will learn the basics of anchor selection including how to place running belays, how to construct anchors to belay your climbing partner and how to abseil safely from the crag.
• Private Guided Multi Pitch Climbing Course: A qualified climbing instructor will show you how to tackle some of the classic climbs within the Lake District.

We provide a fantastic climbing venue to take advantage of. We strive to adapt each course to suit your specific requirements and build upon your technique.

Enjoy Kendal Mountaineering Services Caving in the beautiful Lake District. We offer some of the most challenging caving in the world! There are hundreds of miles of passages to explore.

Your session will start with an introduction to caving and a safety briefing. The type of route you will complete depends on your ability and previous experience. There are short and long descents.

Underground you will see amazing sights that include passages with multi-coloured stalactites and flowstones, as well as waterfalls plunging down vertical shafts.

We will also inform you about how caves are formed.

It is ideal for groups and individuals.

Abseiling involves climbing down a rock face or steep slope using ropes. The dizzy heights will get your adrenalin pumping! It is an exciting alternative challenge.
