Ka'an Expeditions

In Campeche we will be able to find and explore a site from the pre-Hispanic Mayan era. It is located on the southeast side of the state of Campeche, almost on the border with Guatemala.

This region of Petén is where one of the most important reserves of the Calakmul biosphere is located. There we will find more than 6 thousand structures from the classic Mayan era such as pyramids, plazas and stelae.

The name of this place in the dialect means City of the two adjacent pyramids.

We Ka'an Expeditions carry out a morning walk in the Calakmul biosphere in the aforementioned area to get to know all the local flora and fauna.

First we will pick you up, since to get to the place you have to drive approximately two hours. We provide you with water, soft drinks and if you need it, breakfast. The tickets are also part of this tour, it is recommended that you bring appropriate clothing, closed shoes and light clothing since the average duration is 7 hours.

Our second activity is a guided tour to the ruins of Calakmul, this occasion is more cultural and lasts approximately 5 hours without counting from which location we pick you up. Keep in mind that for this activity you have to wear comfortable tennis shoes and clothing that keeps you cool because the area is very hot.

If you want to sleep in the middle of the jungle we have two houses that can give you that unique experience, our multi-adventure camp offers many possibilities such as going to see the new discovery, the Oxpemul, one of the 17 monuments that were sculpted in that historical period.

You can camp very close to the jungle lagoon, we provide you with provisions, food and all the camping material. If you are bilingual we have our certified guide.
