Jarascada Guías de Montaña

In Jarascada we cannot avoid it, we see a mountain and there we go discovering everything it has to offer us. We don't care if it's winter, in fact we love this time of year too! Because it is when we take out our snowshoes and make the most incredible outings you can imagine through the Cantabrian Mountains.

It may be one of the wildest activities we offer, since we carry out outings adapted to all levels, but that seek the greatest adventures in all of them. From November to April approximately, the most amazing trails of the Fuentes de Invierno ski resort become our favorite destination.

• For those who are not very familiar with this type of "hiking in the snow" we recommend our easy level routes. Children and adults can come, and our mountain guides will be in charge of showing you the most beautiful snowy forests you have ever imagined for about 2 hours.

• For those who are not trying snowshoes for the first time, the medium level will provide you with that extra adrenaline you are looking for. 3 hours of a route that will seem like something out of a winter story.

• And now... the modality that we like the most. Snowshoeing at night!We take advantage of the full moons to travel with snowshoes along the snowy trails that, bathed in the moonlight, become even more special. It is not a high level of difficulty, so we encourage everyone to do it.

If you prefer, you can bring your own rackets, but if you don't, don't worry, because we will take care of all the material. Ah! We also provide you with the best environment on each outing, because if there is one thing we want, it is to have fun.

We are not just another company that offers boring hiking routes, nor will we ever be. The reasons are simple: at Jarascada we are certified mountain guides, with each outing we create an incomparable adventure and the unmistakable environment in which we move does the rest. Our team is made up of friends who love the mountains, especially the Cantabrian Mountains, where we usually carry out our expeditions as well as the Picos de Europa and the Pyrenees, the latter especially in winter. Each outing is totally personalized to your characteristics and what you want to see. We want to show you some of the most special ones:

• We take you to contemplate one of the greatest spectacles that we can witness in the Asturian surroundings: the brown bear in freedom. In the spring and some summer months, we carry out outings for both individuals and groups in which we will walk through the area of Somiedo, Fuentes del Narcea or Lacianaamong others to admire this species that lives in freedom very close to us. Totally sure, we will show you how they relate in freedom and some of their best curiosities.

• The Aller Valley becomes another of our favorite destinations for this activity. You can also complete the experience with accommodation in a cabin in the area. Two days full of adventures mixed with Asturian culture, gastronomy and orientation in the mountains.

• Discover the Roman road that was ordered to be built between the years 26 and 22 BC. A route suitable for all audiences of no more than 2 km that will leave you speechless.

• The ascent to the Peña Ubiña or the ring of the Picos de Europa is another of the great attractions we offer. Prepare yourself thoroughly for one of the greatest challenges. Unevenness, obstacles and lots and lots of scenic beauty are some of the qualities that await you. The rest we want you to discover at our side.
