Domenico's Templars offers guided excursionson foot in the territories of the Madonie Park, the heart of northern Sicily.

The activities are organized by the Equitas Association which deals with hiking through various proposals. As regards trekking or Nordic walking proposals, the association's area of action is a splendid natural area, extending around the territory of Polizzi Generosa, where the association's headquarters are located.

The outings take place both for residents and for holidaymakers staying in our region, and involve the paths immersed in the park, of great interest for hiking but often outside the most touristy and well-known routes.

The routes always try to bring together two fundamental aspects of the island: the one represented by nature and the luxuriance of the territory which so fascinates lovers of naturalistic excursions, and the cultural one, made up of a very long history in the literary and artistic fields, which mixes together all the folkloristic apparatus made up of popular traditions.

This desire is manifested in the organization of walks and actual trekking, but also the organization of more particular outings, always on foot, such as orienteeringor Nordic walking.

I Templari di Domenico is active in organizing excursions on foot, on horseback, by bicycle and quad along the paths of Polizzi Generosa, from its base completely immersed in the magnificent scenery of the Parco delle Madonie, an uncontaminated park in Sicily.

A dense network of connections between local associations keeps the Dei Templari di Domenico project active all year round, led by the Equitas association which is dedicated to promoting tourism in the region, proposing activities capable of making Sicily known from both a natural and cultural point of view.

The quad excursions of Domenico's Templars are routes of great beauty and interest for both foreign and Italian tourists and, obviously, also for residents who very often do not know the great beauty that they can enjoy a short distance from their place of residence.

Precisely for motor lovers, the off-road excursion proposals are unmissable: splendid immersions in the Sicilian landscapes on board the association's powerful and comfortable Jeep 4x4s, led by the expert guide of our staff who will take you to discover the best roads and admire the best landscapes of our territory.

Our area of action is a very short distance from Cefalù, one of the most beautiful coasts of Sicilyand Italy, and we organize daily excursions for a maximum of six people (one jeep); However, we are prepared to discuss with you special needs such as excursions of specific duration or longer duration and tours with a greater number of participants.

The Templars of Domenico is the name that brings together the hiking project carried out by the Equitas Association. In the splendid area of the Madonie Park and, specifically, in the territories that unwind around Polizzi Generosa, which hosts the association's headquarters, it will be possible thanks to the Equitas staff to take part in beautiful Nordic walking or trekking trips both for residents, in order to thus discover a part of the island that often the Sicilians themselves do not know, and for tourists on holiday in the province.
