We propose routes of half a day, a full day and even two days with an overnight stay during the route, visiting historical and legendary places. The itinerary will consist (depending on the route chosen) of touring the Mist Mountains, enjoying the spectacular highest cliffs in continental Europe, A Herbeira, visiting the holy pilgrimage town of San Andrés de Teixido, wrapped in an infinite number of legends. and visit the wonderful Cape Ortegal, meeting point between the Cantabrian Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

Material

The farm will provide the protective helmet that is mandatory both during classes and during the routes. It is necessary to bring appropriate footwear: boots or sports shoes and long pants.

Professional team

The routes will be led by professionals qualified by the Royal Spanish Equestrian Federation and by Working Students, English-speaking exchange students, specialized in the equestrian sector.

Resumen Clases de Equitación

Learning to ride a horse is much more than a discipline, it is a way of life that at Granxa do Souto we want you to understand from the first minute you spend by our side. Our equestrian center, located on the outskirts of the town of Ortigueira in A Coruña, is perfect for developing this sport with all the guarantees for the student and the horse.

We have a group of professional riders qualified by the Galician Equestrian Federation who will be in charge of providing the best training to all students, focusing on the experience and quality of each of them, starting from the base.

Our facilities have one covered track and three outdoor courts with different types of soil such as sand and geotextile.

You will be able to opt for different types of riding classes, depending on your preferences and what you are looking to achieve. But the most important thing you should know is that there is no specific time to learn to ride.

  • Group. In this modality there will only be a maximum of 6 horses on the track to pay maximum attention to each student. You can purchase a voucher for 10 classes, 5 or individual classes.
  • Individual. Perfect for those who want an exclusive class with the teacher.
  • Extracurricular. An option that we offer for students from nearby schools who at the end of their school day want to go to riding class.
  • Riding baptism. Regardless of your age, this option is ideal for those who want to come into contact with the horses, first getting close to them and then taking a walk on their backs along the Mera River.
  • Therapy. We will work with the animal on the stimulation or rehabilitation necessary for health problems that have to do with psychology
  • Clínics. Aimed at perfecting the level of horsemanship in any modality such as classical dressage, jumping, cross-country or equine grooming.

Every time I go on vacation I make routes on horseback and this has not been one of the most rewarding.

They did not take us to any waterfall what we had hired because they had another couple who wanted to go to the marshes and told us that they changed the route when we had been on horseback.

It has been generally a good experience. The best, without a doubt, the treatment received; all the people who have intervened, both in the reception and farewell, and in the accompaniment along the route, have been very attentive and pleasant.

As an improvable point, it would be the itinerary; I suspect that in the environment there are routes with landscapes more beautiful than the one chosen.

We made the children's horse route in La Granxa do Souto.

We had never ridden on horseback, we were a little afraid, but the horses were so meek and the instructor was so sloped that we began to enjoy the scenery. My 7-year-old daughter already asked, When we return

Not to do every day, but I recommend the experience.

The farm is in a place of easy access and in a quiet place in which it made us feel very comfortable from the moment we arrived.

Magnificent facilities, lots of cleaning, both stables and the animals themselves, and very well organized. Definitely a perfect afternoon and an advisable experience.
