We at Glen Tanar Estate Fishing offer marvelous Trout and Salmon fishing! We boast a fruitful private loch for Trout and the River Dee just a stone´s throw away for some of the best fishing in Scotland. Fishing is an experience for disconnecting, relaxing and appreciating nature and we could not offer you a better location to do this.

Our Trout fishing can be done on our loch March to December with sessions in the morning and afternoon. Salmon fishing can be done at 4 different points along the River Dee, Craigendinnie, Waterside & Ferrar, Deecastle and Headinch & Cambus O´May that have been used by fishermen since the 17th Century.

Our location in the Cairngorms is a breathtaking location for hiking and hill walking with an endless amount of terrain for classic country walking, or more intense hill hiking. There are oodles of trails close by scattered throughout the area with something for every level.

Welcome to Glen Tanar Estate Horse Riding! Our location is tranquil and scenic set right in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. Discover on horseback the beauty of the landscape and enjoy a horse riding experience in one of the most exceptionally beautiful areas of Scotland.

We at Glen Tanar Estate Mountain Biking offer an abundance of terrain for cycling! Located in stunning Aberdeenshire, we have trials for everyone, from families looking for a flat ride to those looking for more intense and adrenaline filled biking of mountain biking trails. Each and every cyclist can enjoy an amazing biking experience.

Just off the Estate the old Deeside Railway is now a converted bike path which is a leisurely cycle and it can lead you into the Caledonian Pine forest. There are also loops through the Black Moss and the Water of Tanar and the trickier route of Mount Keen which is said to be highest bike route in altitude!
