Escapilade, the love of climbing.
The club is open to anyone wishing to discover or improve their skills in climbing. Located in the town of Saint Etienne, it is one of the largest clubs in the Loire which allows the practice of recreational climbing, as well as competitive climbing.
This is why everyone is welcomed, children from 9 years old, teenagers and adults for:
- Climbing in climbing wall: artificial climbing structures are ideal for learning, discovering and training with joy and good humor
- Climbing on cliff outings : for lovers of the great outdoors and escape.
Enough to progress at your own pace and on different types of walls.
Instructors welcome you every day of the week, for one or two slots per day, to support you in your learning and include you in the good humor specific to the group.

The club regularly organizes outdoor outings to allow students to benefit from the theory and practice learned on the wall.
The goal of volunteers is to organize sports outings to maintain the values and conviviality of the group.
It's a good way to test your learning, while getting closer to nature in unusual landscapes.
The outings are supervised, and are not limited to climbing. Multi-sport outings are organized, thanks to partnerships that allow them to take group members to different regions for canyoning, skiing or snowshoeing!

The climbing wall, also called Artificial Climbing Structure (SAE), is ideal for beginners and training, since it is generally suitable and adaptable to all levels and all ages.
This is why all generations are brought together during classes. This maintains the friendly spirit that reigns within the group. They know how to mix safety and fun.
Escapilade offers you several walls to get started and improve your skills. Their seriousness and experience has allowed them to train good competitors at the national level, notably Thomas Caleyron and Anouck Jauber.
Supervised sessions, specially dedicated to young people aged 9 to 16, are organized. Indeed, it is important to emphasize safety and supervision for young people who are just starting out, in order to introduce them to proper practice, without risks.
