Summary Kayaking
Kayaking is a fun activity for people of all ages. At Dunolly Adventures, everyone who is over 8 years old can participate in fun kayaking activities. For people who are just getting started, and want a taster of what kayaking is all about, Dunolly Adventures offer a fun 3 hour course where you can learn paddling skills and play some fun games. For people who would like to get more serious, Dunolly Adventures offer;
- UKCC Level 1 – The entry point for people who want to eventually become a coach in all paddlesports (canoeing and kayaking)
- Foundation Rescue and Training – A must for people who want to be a coach, this course can also be taken as a standalone course by people interested in learning more skills.
- Introduction to moving water Kayak – For people who want to learn the basics of kayaking, where you will learn many new skills.
- White Water Improvers – for people who want to refine their boat control and be more efficient when using kayaks on white water.
Summary Rafting
White Water Rafting is one of the most fun and exciting activities that you can do, and if you have always wanted to try it out, Dunolly Adventures is the perfect place to help you. With three different places to ride in;
- River Tay – Chinese – A great course for younger children and people who are a bit hesitant, there are a few rapids, but nothing too hard and there is mostly flat water, with fun games being played on the way down.
- River Tay – Grandtully – With great views the whole way, this is one of the most popular courses, with some great rapids for an exciting time.
- River Tummel – An incredibly adrenaline pumping route with a great finish.
You are also able to do a couple of courses to improve your skills or learn how to teach;
- Raft Guide Training Course – This six day course will give you the skills and knowledge that you need to become a white water rafting guide. The course is drom the Scottish Rafting Association.
- Raft Improver Course – A weekend course for people who would like to get a taste of being a white water rafting guide, or need a little refresher course to get back into things.
Summary Mountain Biking
If you fancy some mountain biking while staying at Dunolly Adventures, you can either bring your own, or rent them out. With tracks that are suitable for someone who would like a more sedate cycle, to routes where you can get really dirty, there is something for everyone at Dunolly Adventures.
If you haven’t been on a bike in a while, and you want to regain some confidence, Dunolly Adventures can help you to do this with some Mountain Biking sessions. If you love mountain biking, and you would like to become a Trail Leader, you can do a two day course at Dunolly Adventures which covers the knowledge that you need to take other people out on the road.

Summary Archery
Archery at Dunolly Adventures is a great sport to try out – whether you are a complete beginner or have some skill already; Dunolly Adventures can cater to your needs. Anyone from ages 8 and up can come and have a go. Archery can be one of the activities that you can choose to do while your school is staying at Dunolly House, as part of a child birthday party, or as a fun activity to do with your family or friends.
At Dunolly Adventures, you can also do a GNAS Archery Leader Course so that you are able to share your love of Archery with others by teaching them. Over four days you will learn skills in coaching, as well as risk assessment, equipment maintenance and more.
You are also able to do an Archery Skills course for anyone who wants to either improve their skills, or learn an entirely new sport.
Summary Hiking
Dunolly Adventures is located in a great place for people who love to go walking in nature. With lots of types of walks that you can do while staying with Dunolly Adventures, the area has something for all ages and fitness level. Take a walk to the Birks of Aberfeldy, a well known local nature spot.
You can also choose to walk through Weem Wood if you fancy a longer walk. If you organise it in advance, you could even get a picnic lunch packed for you to enjoy when you reach the shelter at the top of the hill.

Summary Canyoning
For those who would like to do something extreme and exhilarating, canyoning with Dunolly Adventures is for you. Swimming through gorges, climbing up waterfalls, jumping into rivers, this is a great activity to do with your friends or family (as long as they are over 12 or 14 depending on the conditions!) Run from March to October, this activity is a great way to enjoy nature.
If this all sounds a bit much, Dunolly Adventures also runs a gorge scramble, which is suitable for children aged 8 and up – similar to canyoning, it is a little bit less extreme, and is fun for the whole family.

High Ropes is a great challenge for people who are scared of height, or even people who aren’t! With many different courses on offer, you can work on your teambuilding and communication skills, while having loads of exciting fun. For ages 8 and up, the whole family can have a go at working together and overcoming obstacles. The high ropes on offer at Dunolly Adventures include;
- Climbing wall – A 40 foot wall for climbing fun.
- Crate Stacking – Work together to build a tower as high as you can – with one of your teammates on top!
- Tree Climb – Climb up a 50 ft tree for the fabulous view.
- High Beam – Keep your balance high off the ground!
- Pole – Climbing high with a friend or by yourself, then swinging off the top!
