From CANCUN AIRPORT, the most economical way is an ADO bus (airport-cancun) to the city center (every half hour), then from the center a taxi will cost around 200 pesos. Taxis from the airport and shared vans range from 40 usd to 90 usd From CANCUN CENTRO the easiest way is to follow Av. Bonampak all the way north, then this same street becomes a road called PROLONGACION BONAMPAK... a unit between the mangrove, leaving on your right side Puerto Juárez and Punta Sam pass Hotel Villas del Palmar until you reach a roundabout with the Entrance to Playa Mujeres Hotels (A GREAT DOOR!) On the right, you will find a paved road. Follow that paved road all the way with the golf course on your right until there is a roundabout where a new large paved road begins. You follow this path until it turns into a dirt road. 3 kms of dirt road until you find an IKARUS sign on your left, and a large blue post on your right! Turn left and follow the sand path a few hundred meters to the end, and you have arrived! We are on the lagoon side! From CANCUN HOTEL ZONE you can take a hotel taxi (expensive), a street taxi (cheaper) or a bus from the hotel zone to the center and a taxi from there should be around 15 usd driving from the hotel zone. At km zero turn right and follow the direction above. If driving, be careful to follow the speed limit (60 Km – 37 Mph). Police with radar monitoring are usually on the road.
