Association Les Ecuries de La Grise

Les Écuries de la Grise brings together an owners' stable and an equestrian center with a pony club in Chamoy, a small rural village in Aube located on the edge of the forest. We are 25 km from Troyes and Saint-Florentin, 18 km from Chaource and 52 km from Auxerre. All year round we welcome children who are discovering pony riding, as well as adults who are preparing for their gallops, as well as owners looking for boarding for their horse.

Our structure has been certified as a French Riding School and Pony Club of France by the French Equestrian Federation since 2018 and it obtained the Animal Welfare label in 2021. Respect for horses and ponies is the basis of our practice. Cindy, our instructor, gives all lessons individually or in pairs and prepares for federal gallops from gallop 1 to gallop 6. Her teaching follows the rider from beginner to competition. Among the disciplines practiced are dressage and show jumping, but also hunter, ethology and aerobatics. The pony club works on Shetland and double pony. We also provide horse breaking and work, as well as handling behavioral problems.

The stable has 13 indoor and outdoor boxes measuring 3 x 3 m which accommodate all sizes, from pony A to draft horse. For work and relaxation, we have a fenced sand quarry and a 15 x 15 m sand lunging ring, four individual grass paddocks and 5 hectares of summer pasture less than 300 m from the stable. A shower and solarium, grooming areas on rubber floors and a tack room with lockers complete the facilities.

The property is completely enclosed and placed under video surveillance. The horses are monitored and cared for day and night, 7 days a week. Around the stable, many paths lead into the forest for walks and hikes.
