Come and discover the natural wonders of one of the Protected Oases of the WWF, in the province of Grosseto: the Orbetello Lagoon >, one of the most significant wetlands in Italy, awaits you to give you a moment of peace and relaxation.
Immerse yourself in this naturalistic area, thanks to this guided tour, which will allow you to come into contact with a large amount of local or endangered flora and fauna.
You will have the opportunity to admire thousands of birds: ducks, geese, cranes, waders and even raptors! But not only that, you might be lucky enough to witness the flight of pink flamingos and marsh harriers or listen to the bisyllabic song of lapwings .
Walking through the green areas on the shores of Lake Burano, among its calm waters, you will be able to glimpse herons intenton hunting or colonies of terns and fraticelli, the only ones on the Tyrrhenian coast. And keep an eye on the artificial tower built in the reserve: you might glimpse the pair of ospreys intent on nesting!
Furthermore, from 2023, at the historic Casale Giannella, there will be an incredible interactive museum, dedicated to the Pelagos Sanctuary: a protected international marine area, of 87,500 square km, which includes the waters of Sardinia, Franceand the Principality of Monaco, aimed at protecting one of the most risk of extinction in the Mediterranean, the cetaceans.
