The via ferrata is that special adventure sport that we have for you and this time we are moving to the south of Gran Canaria so that you can enjoy the adrenaline and panoramic views that this experience gives you.

As such, a via ferrata could be understood as a vertical climbing route of easy difficulty or as highly technically demanding hiking sections, where it involves climbing steep cliffs and vertical rock walls with the help of cables, ropes and metal steps that are embedded in the stone, but this time we come to present you the most daring one we have. K3 level (medium difficulty) and located near Maspalomas, being the meeting point in Bahía Feliz, the via ferrata of Saint Augustinewill not leave you indifferent.

You will never cease to be surprised by the fascinating landscapes that seem straight out of American Westerns, composed of desert areas full of volcanic rocks and cliffs bathed in reddish and brown tones in the south of the Canary Island.

The estimated duration of the activity will be 3 hours. We recommend you bring gloves and of course come with comfortable sports clothing and shoes. The sun hits very hard in the mountains so remember to also add sun protection and some clothing (in case the activity takes place in the afternoon) and finally a backpack or shoulder bag where you can carry all this. Forget about the rest, since one of our sports technicians will accompany you throughout this lively experience, also providing you with all the material you will need (ropes, harnesses...).

The tour of the San Agustín ferrata will begin with a short walk until you reach the climbing area. We will pass by historic cliffs until we reach the starting point of our first activity: a climbing session, where we will ascend a large rock wall that presents sections of varying difficulty, so both novices and experienced More experts will enjoy this exercise to the fullest, although you have to keep in mind that it is a via ferrata of K3 difficulty, and therefore, only recommended for those who have already tried this sport.

Overcoming this enormous rock wall will lead us to the highlight of the day, as we will enter the San Agustín via ferrata. There, a lively and intense trip full of adrenaline awaits us, as we will discover a ferrata full ofobstacles; more than 70 meters of ascent by stairs, a suspension bridge (optional), staples secured to the rock walls and more aerial sections. Over approximately two hours, you will not have time to get bored for a single second, since we will not stop passing through very different sections until we reach the end of the route. At that moment we will stop to rest in a magical place, where nature offers us an indescribable natural spectacle, recovering in the shadow of the interior of a natural volcanic cave.
