E-foiling is an extraordinary way to enjoy the water. It’s a kind of surfing, but instead of relying on waves, the board has an underwater hydrofoil powered by an electric motor attached to the bottom. When the board starts moving, the lift generated by the foil forces the board out of the water and surfing becomes flying!
If you want to have a go at that, join us for a 2-hour private session on Plaidy Beach in Looe, Cornwall. We’ll start out with some time on the beach, going over safety and the equipment, then we’ll head out onto the sheltered waters of Looe Bay.
Our e-foils, which are Waydoo Flyer-One models, have batteries that can go for a full hour and that’s how long we’ll spend on them. We’ll start off with bodyboard-style exercises, before getting you onto your knees and, finally, standing up and levitating above the water.
We are a team of watersports fanatics, so you can trust your qualified instructor to give you encouragement and support from start to finish. We supply all the e-foil, plus a buoyancy aid and rash vest, but please bring your own wetsuit.

You get e-foiling, a water sport that sees you whizzing through the water and even soaring above the surface. If you want to get involved, grab a friend or two and join us for a beginner’s session for groups of 2 or 3 people.
An e-foil consists of a board, like a small surfboard, and an underwater hydrofoil powered by an electric motor. You don’t have to wait for waves to start moving and that movement causes the board to rise above the surface of the water.
We’ll start this 2-hour session with an introduction to the equipment and the safety procedures. Then, we’ll head out onto the water where our watersports instructors will help you go from kneeling on the board to standing. This part lasts 1 hour. We will provide life jackets and rash vests, participants need their own wetsuits.
Based in Looe, we are the only company that offers e-foiling sessions in Cornwall. We run these sessions at Plaidy Beach, which boast calm water and spectacular views - what’s not to like?
