Private E-Foil Guided Tour from Plaidy Beach, 2h

Is it a boat? Is it a plane? It’s an e-foil.

This is a machine that belongs in water but allows you to soar above its surface. If you know have previous experience of e-foiling, join us for a private experience at our base on Plaidy Beach, Looe.

There are 2 routes to choose from. Either we head up the River Looe, working with the current and watching the tree-lined banks glide past, or we cross the sea to Looe Island, a nature reserve managed by Cornwall Wildlife Trust.

We’ll start the session on dry land, then head out with fully charged batteries, which will give us 90 minutes of travelling time. This is the perfect amount of time to enjoy slicing through the water, and to ask any questions of a qualified guide.

The e-foil is a high-tech piece of kit, and you’ll have the pleasure of using one of our Waydoo Flyer-One models. We’ll also give you a life jacket and a rash vest to wear, but you’ll need your own wetsuit.

Have you tried e-foiling before?

If you have previous experience of this high-tech watersport before, we welcome you to sign up for a tour in Looe. We’ll meet on Plaidy Beach and then go in one of two directions: out to sea, reaching Looe Island, or inland following the River Looe.

This tour is for groups of 2 or 3 participants. Each will get to use a Waydoo Flyer-One e-foil, an exciting machine capable of gliding above the waves thanks to its whisper-quiet electric motor. They have powerful batteries too, which provide enough juice to complete a tour of 90 minutes.

Along with kitting up time, the whole experience lasts 2 hours. We will provide a buoyancy aid and a rash vest per person, but not wetsuits, please bring your own.

Our tours are led by experienced guides. They will help you get the most out of the journey, whether you’re gliding under the branches of trees on the river or exploring the nature reserve around Loose Island. Of course, they can also give you pointers on your e-foiling technique.
