Tandem parachute baptism in Vieux-Reng -4000m

The jump takes place in the Salmagne Aerodrome, also called the Maubeuge - Vieux-Reng - Élesmes Aerodrome. It is 10 minutes by car from Maubeuge, 45 minutes from Valenciennes, but also an hour's drive from Cambrai. Wherever you are in the North, or even in Belgium, you can come in search of thrills by doing this free fall.

On the day of your jump, your instructor will be waiting for you at the gates of the airfield, to welcome you and explain in detail how your adventure will progress. After the briefing and the security measures, he will give you your equipment so that you can then sit on board the plane. The takeoff will then take place and you will fly until the plane reaches an altitude of 4,000 m. At that moment, the plane opens its doors and you jump with the monitor attached to you, for a sensational 50-second free fall.

From 1500 m altitude, the instructor will open the parachute, for a quieter, slower and safer descent. You will therefore fly over Maubeuge and its surroundings for around ten minutes, before the instructor makes the landing.

It's an excellent experience to live at least once in a lifetime, so don't hesitate and book!

Good to know:

• If you wish to do this baptism, it is imperative that your height does not exceed 195 cm and that your weight is less than 96 kg.
• The activity is accessible to adolescents aged 15 and over.
• A certificate of non-contraindication is required to be able to parachute jump.

Your adventure will take place in the commune of Vieux-Reng, in department 59, at the La Salmagne aerodrome, often called theMaubeuge aerodrome - Vieux-Reng - Élesmes. If you are in Maubeuge, you will have a journey that only takes 10 minutes by car. If you come from Valenciennes, your journey time is 45 minutes and from Cambrai, one hour. It’s also a stone’s throw from the Belgian border.

Arriving at the aerodrome, one of our state qualified instructors will receive you, in order to explain the safety rules, the positions to adopt, as well as the process of this baptism in tandem. He will give you your equipment and then board the plane with you. After takeoff and reaching an altitude of 4,000 m, the doors will open so you can jump and do the free fall which lasts one minute .

At an altitude of 1500 m, the skydiver who accompanies you will be able to open the parachute. Your adventure then is much more relaxed and gives you the opportunity to contemplate the landscapes of the Nord department. After a few minutes, you will arrive safely with a soft landing.
