The Basic Diver is aimed at people who have already done at least one experience, with us or in another center, and who wish to dive again. This is a one-hour SSI initiation underwater. During this session, your instructor will teach you the basics of being a diver: preparing equipment, moving underwater and safely ascent.
The session can also be shared, because an instructor can supervise up to four divers when safety conditions are met. This is the formula that suits a group of friends who have all done a baptism, without anyone yet having a level, and who want to descend together while remaining supervised.
If you then complete your first level within six months, the session will be deducted from your training with us or at any SSI center around the world. This first level is called Open Water. It remains valid for life and will allow you to move up to 18 meters with an instructor anywhere in the world.
Please note: the six months are counted from the day of your session, and we advise you to keep the date. Medical contraindications and precautions to follow after diving are the same as for baptism.
