Introduction to diving in Saint-Leu from 8 years old, 20 min

Our first dive in Saint-Leu requires no experience and will allow you to breathe underwater with a tank for around twenty minutes. The outing lasts approximately three hours and your state-certified instructor will only take care of you from start to finish.

We will first welcome you at the center for a simple briefing and the fitting of the equipment, fully provided. You will then reach the port to board our boat to the site, in the Saint-Leu marine reserve, whose volcanic bottoms have been shaped by ancient lava flows, by ravines and by the coral reef. You can come across corals, trumpet fish, surgeonfish, triggerfish and sometimes a turtle.

Children can be baptized from the age of 8 under the same conditions. Only the maximum depth is reduced according to age, and the instructor will adapt the session to each child.

Good to know: a minor must never be left alone on the boat, which is why we ask that a family member or friend accompany them on board. Even old asthma, epilepsy and pregnancy are contraindications. A significant medical history requires a recovery certificate signed by your attending physician or a sports doctor. Sports and any climb above 600 meters should be avoided for 12 hours following the dive. Planes and helicopters are excluded for 24 hours, as are microlights and parachutes. Think about it when choosing the date if you have planned a return flight or a flight over Reunion Island by helicopter.
