Between the communes of Axat and Quillan, we will wait for you in the Gorges de Saint-Georges parking lot with a photographer, a state qualified instructor and the driver of a vehicle to take us back to the rest of the session.
At this time you will collect a helmet and a life jacket and a neoprene wetsuit. The instructor will then teach you the safety instructions, how to descend and the basics of rafting. No worries, however, he will also accompany you on the boat and help you anticipate the various obstacles you will encounter.
On the descent program, you will need to have a strong heart! Right in the Pyrenees mountains, the Aude river will put your ability to play as a team to the test.
You will start gently with the passage of a few rapids in the Gorges de Saint-Georges. By sailing along the village of Saint-Martin Lys and in front of the old Axat bridge, you can dive in calmer water, before arriving in the Gorges de la Pierre Lysand discover more sporty rapids, notably the "Triple chute" and the "Dessert rapid".
Good to know:
- This descent is accessible to anyone over 8 years old who knows how to swim.
- Bring sneakers, your swimsuit and even a snack to enjoy after the session in our picnic area if you wish.
