The Almadenes Canyon is considered a unique natural area in the province of Murcia. We propose a sensational rafting descent down the Segura River in which you will not only enjoy the adrenaline of riding a raft while rowing, but it will also have its cultural side in this 3 journey hours and a half.
Designed for all ages and audiences, the descent will take you to visit the Cueva de los Monigotes and later the Cueva de las Nutrias. Interpretive guides who will accompany you will transmit all the knowledge about the place and what is found there. Like the different species of fauna: otter, eagle, gray heron and woodpecker.
But not everything will stop at observing the wild landscape. We will also make a stop at the Cueva de los Monigotes. Inside there are cave paintings that date back more than 8 millennia... Interesting? It gains more value after being proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Another visit that we will not miss will be the Otter Cave. A couple of this species lives here. If we are lucky, we will be able to see them. It is quite a prestige to be able to see them. After this stop, we will continue with the descent until we reach the la Mulata dam.
