It is almost more of a massif than a summit. The highest point, known as Gran Vignemale or Pique Longe, reaches 3,298 meters.
The Vignemale is located in French territory. The ascent is made from Gavarnie, reaching the Baysellance refuge. It is the refuge located at the highest altitude in the entire Pyrenees.
We will reach the summit passing through the Ossoue glacier, which is the best preserved of these mountains.
